[Ravenous Raven]

I want to watch a romance that has actual development, the relation ship goes somewhere, and fulfills at least a couple of the following:

 

• One or both of the main characters are older than 16 (At least one of them needs to not be a highshooler(I'm fine with large age gaps))
• MaleXFemale (No yaoi or yuri)
• I dislike harems, but I am willing to deal with it if they don't really get in the way of the 'Alpha Couple'.
• No Hentai (Ecchi or smut is okay)
• The main character, if male, CAN NOT be a typical wuss who doesn't make decisions and has no spine
• Fantasy, Sci-fi, or modern times - pretty much any setting is fine
• No incest. Ever.
• Shounen, Seinen, Shoujo or Josei are all fine with me.

Some good josei titles: Oishii Kankei and Real Clothes (these two are by the same mangaka). Futago. Kimi wa Kirakira. LiarxLiar. 3am Dangerous Zone. Evyione. Ran to Haiiro no Sekai (amazing manga, not for everyone, beware the comments section--it's a veritable minefield!). Ragtonia. Udon no Hito. Kimi wa Petto is great, but you'll have to read it somewhere other than Batoto.

 

Upon reflection, it seems my follows is mostly josei... but there are some other good titles: Otogi Moyou Ayanishiki, Oh, My Sweet Alien!. Hmm, I'm sure there's more that I've read but they're not coming to mind, and I'm not finding them in my follows. But have fun with this list.

I've read a couple of these, and while I do like them (Ran to Kaiiro no Sekai is one of my all time favorites) they aren't very development heavy. Kimi Wa Petto, for example I dropped a while ago because five chapter in and I already felt it was being a bit repetitive.

 

I'll still check out some of the others I haven't read, though!

While I would prefer anime, I'm still fine with manga suggestions!

I'll definitely check this one out because I've never heard of it and it looks awesome!

Well, some of this is kind of subjective, but there are a few I'd at least suggest. Movies: A Kite (watch out if you try this one, there is a "directors cut/version" that has some real hentai content in it....the other versions don't have the hard-core stuff) and Loups=Garous.

 

For anime series the few I know of to suggest would be Asatte no Houkou, Eureka Seven, Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de.    and Nozoki Ana

Actually, I'll mention one more, Glass no Kamen. It might seem a bit dated (understandable, the manga actually began in 1976 so a lot of the anime reflects that older style of art) but it probably fits your description pretty well.........and it's a favorite of mine as well, the greatest shoujo story of all time
