The latest arc was... bad.

The biggest disappointment is the coach. Usually he'd trust Ippo and have confidence in him but in the latest fight against the world ranker no. 2, he was too anxious, he didn't have trust nor confidence in Ippo, he didn't stay calm and neither did he anticipate. No proper plans like before. In the end, all he did was hesitate.... he should of told Ippo to use the dempsey roll only at the end, when the opposition would be too tired be move. In the end, he gave no instructions and just cowered in fear. It was a good manga but this is a total disappointment. When he fought the old man for the title, atleast they had some plans or steps.

The coach failed, also, Ippo seemed to be working hard and happy that his boxing was working against the world's best but in the end it was seemed that he was lacking his intensity or determinations, he was casually determined. I assume it might be because this match for him was a trial and error, the same with Date's title match.

I had to share this cause I am somewhat frustrated. Even their training seemed lacking cause there were no new development on his skills. So maybe, it was a match to see what he was missing or what?

I think that it was a good fight, where Ippo learned that he has to aim at something higher if he wants to be successful on the world stage.

Even the coach was of the opinion that the Ippo of that fight, had no chance of to emerge victorious.

Thanks to this match he will gain a new drive to get his next title. He only has one chance left, if he loses the next time he will stop boxing altogether.

He is not like Kimura who came back after his retirement. He is Big Mara Ippo, the almost invincible, always standing Ippo.

It's part of a big plot bro. Let's be patient and wait for the story to develop. Maybe 1000 more episodes and he'll have a title. hahaha!
