I'm a bit confused regarding the timeline, please tell me I'm not the only one... Wasn't the 11th year of the Meiji period 1879, not 1828? Unless wikipedia's lying to me, 1879 would also be exactly 300 years after the Tensho period, which is when the prequel comic Rengoku Ni Warau took place (although the Orochi hasn't actually made an appearance there yet, all the signs say it will soon). Is the date of 1828 on page 4 a mistake, or am I missing something?

The way I figure it, the "ephemeral laughter" story- or rather, the appearance of the Orochi in the story- should have taken place in 1279, Rengoku Ni Warau ought to happen around 1579 (though that is two years after the stated date so the Orochi might not make an entrance for awhile, or it might survive a bit longer than in the previous story), and the "three brothers" story (the current one) should be in 1879.
