Hmm... I've got the game on PS3. Some of the translations seem a bit different (names and such, but they're hard to get right aren't they?). Looking forward to reading the manga too ;)

Name spellings are always going to be subject to guessing unless you are the mangaka his/herself and can set an official one. The Japanese system of writing and speaking just is not the same as it is in western cultures using the roman alphabet. Even then there are inconsistencies in pronunciation (Spanish countries pronounce J as H, Germans W as V, V as F, etc.) If the name contains any ra/ri/ru/re/ro characters in it, then it is even harder since there is no "l" in the Japanese alphabet and "r" in Japan is more like a combination between r and l so it can be spelled either way in English. Rina or Lina? Your pick, really.

As far as translations go, it is really going to depend on the style of the translator. Professional translations tend to be... well... professional and done very rigidly. Fan translations can be different from lack of experience or knowledge or perhaps they try to bend the translation add some depth to the story. A sign of love that a fan would put into it that a professional may not.
