I noticed that Batoto used the same categorisation system as Mangaupdates. So, does this mean that original doujinshii aren't permitted to be marked as such? And that only doujinshii based on an existing series, are allowed to be?

'Cos you see, Lawson on the ?????? front is an original doujinshii and same for a few others. According to mangaupdates, they're all recognised as original series and not as DJ. However, it's kinda weird 'cos they aren't really released by the manga publishing companies and printed instead, by other sources.

Doujinshi means originally self published comics. We don't care who the original publisher was. It could be self, could be company, it makes no difference.

Whether it's a self published comic based on another comic or if it's purely original is a completely irrelevant issue.

Only parts that matter are:
1. Is it a comic?
2. Do we have the permission to host it by the releaser?

Okay, thanks a lot for the clarification. Then, I hope that one day, you all can modify the pop-up description text for "Doujinshii" to reflect Batoto's definitions.

With that, I gotta run off... I'll fix everything when I come home.
