I know the Wiki has presumptuously classified him as a Logia user. But I just can't get to grips with it.

 

Here's why:

 

A Logia: A Devil Fruit that grants the user the ability to create, become and assimilate a naturally occurring substance, element or force of nature. These substances, elements and forces of nature are all specified. 

 

So. The Logia's so far:

- Smoker: Smokes are a specified naturally occurring substance and a bi-product of fire (a force of nature) e.g. Gas clouds

- Crocodile: Sand is a specified naturally occurring substance and a force of nature e.g. Sand storms

- Ace/Sabo: Fire is a specified naturally occurring substance and a force of nature e.g. Fires

- Enel: Lightning is a specified naturally occurring substance and a force of nature e.g. Storms

- Kuzan: Ice is a specified naturally occurring substance, and a force of nature e.g. Ice caps

- Teach: Darkness specifically is the lack of light (light is a force of nature) e.g. Lack of light (space we cannot see, for example)

- Borsalino: Light is a specified force of nature e.g. Light...

- Sakazuki: Magma is a specified naturally occurring substance and force of nature e.g. Volcanoes

- Caribou: Mud is a specified naturally occurring substance and a force of nature e.g. Swamps and Bogs

- Caesar: Gases are a specified naturally occuring substance and a force of nature e.g. the air we breathe

- Monet: Snow is a specified naturally occurring substance and a force of nature e.g. Glaciers

 

My issue is: 

- Trebol: Sticky is a non-specified general term to describe many adhesives (both man-made and naturally occurring) and is not a force of nature or a bi-product of one. 

 

And yet everyone calls him a Logia! Because of these panels:

 

My first issue:

 

Look at the first panel I showed you. His colorscheme is still the same. And his clothing is always like that. His skin and Clothing are not the same color! My issue is that even though his body is in a blob he looks like he's coated with something and is not in an element-form like many people think. 

Look at any of the other Logias and when in their element form their colorscheme changes, their clothing loses its tints and hues etc. and all becomes one color. 

Here are just 3 examples:

 

 

My second issue with this is that Trebol appears to have coated himself like Magellan. 

 

Some Paramecia have Logia like Qualities 

Pica's Ishi Ishi no Mi allows him to assimilate and coat himself and manipulate stone

Magellan's Doku Doku no Mi allows him to assimilate and coat himself in poison

Baby 5's Buki Buki no Mi allows herself to reform when she is broken into pieces

Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Mi turned his body into rubber

Brook's Yomi Yomi no Mi allows him to reform his body when he is cut into pieces

Robin's Hana Han no Mi allows her to assimilate and manipulate her limbs, she can also disperse her body parts 

Buggy's Bara Bara no Mi allows him to split his body parts

Moriah's Kage Kage no Mi allows him to assimilate, manipulate and become a shadow

 

Because Trebols fruit doesn't quite match the description of a Logia. But like Moriah he can assimilate, manipulate and become some sticky substance. So while it doesn't fit the description of a Logia his fruit is very similar to Moriahs Paramecia. 

 

People on other forums have pointed out that he was cut in half and is still alive. But never seem to realize that if Doflamingo can put his tabgible body (and puppet) back together with his strings and hold it together; then Trebol can do the same with his sticky substance. Things like glue (man-made mind you!) are specifically designed to hold pieces together and stick something onto something else.

 

This is why I think that although the Beta Beta no Mi means "Sticky Sticky fruit" - Trebol is a Glue Man and is a Paramecia... This is why I can't accept Trebol as a Logia user.

This is dumb. And wrong. 

 

Moria can only switch places with his shadow doppelman. It's not the same as making his body become a certain substance. 

 

He's a logia. Get over it.

First of all not everything on the OPWiki is true. . . most are just speculations by the people who write for that website.

 

Teach isn't Logia based on your own assumption, that Logias clothes also change colors based on their elemental type. Teach clothes doesn't change black, his body also doesn't change into darkness, it's still tangible and people can still hit him.

 

Second, Brooks DF doesn't allow him to be cut into pieces, its power is to resurrect him back to life as a Soul. He's only able to be cut into pieces presumably because he is inhabiting his skeleton.

 

Third, Moria doesn't become a shadow, as you said he just manipulates the shadow to make his body stretch or grow, Luffy can still hit his body without the use of Haki.

 

Last but not the least Trebol is a Logia because his entire body can become Exploding Glue and if you try to slice him with a sword not fused with Haki it will not hurt him. . . unlike other DF that seem to be similar like, Mr. 3 who can make Candle Wax or Magellan who can make Poison Goo, the other 2 can't transform their bodies into those substances, they can just cover their bodies with it and if you try to Slice Mr. 3 or Magellan with a sword without Haki they will get hurt.

 

Trebol is a Logia.
