I mean, it's funny and all but I can't help to feel bad when the little sister is talking about how hungry she is and how she cannot afford to buy good food. And I don't mean expensive food when I talk about good food. C'mon, the poor girl thinks that stuff like strawberries and natto are out of her reach. It's kinda sad.

Coming from a standpoint of poverty;
There are days,weeks, months you can go without a proper meal. The miraculous thing about the human body is how well it can function on minimal fuel. The balancing of wants and needs, and the desire to spoil yourself out of self-pity, it can become a vicious cycle.
That being said, I feel like the Mangaka has experienced this hell of economics.
