Gramps also had complete poker face state almosthe whole 13 ande 14 chapters, and he was not surprised but interested in Jee-Han's ability...

about shapeshifters: there are magic, magicians and demons, why it should be strange to several of em change form on a wish?

 

upd: I looked through 13-15 chaps once more and saw that Jee-Hans mother said nothing about tutoring beeing connected to school subjects/work in any way

I don't know, grandpa looks pretty pissed.  As well as surprised since earlier he said the world must be ending for Jee-Han to be a natural ability user...

 

As far as shape shifting, yeah but I haven't seen Jee-Han talk about it so maybe it wasn't shown or he hasn't figured it out that people can do that yet.

 

As far as his mom goes, all she says that she knows Jee-Han will be going to Sun-Il's for some "private tutoring".  I guess it could go either way, I just assumed she meant school work.  Then later she said this:

This was Ch:21 after Jee-Han told her there was "no class today".  Maybe it says something different in Korean, I don't know.  But from the english translations, it seems to me that his mom has no idea.  I don't think she would react like that if she knew what he was going over there for.  All this just says to me that nobody expected Jee-Han to get ANY sort of powers.

Can you explain how this is connected to Sun-il being surprised or not surprised by Jee-Han being natural ability user?

Sorry, didn't mean that part.  He was definitely surprised Jee-Han knew that about him.  Too lazy to cut that part out because I meant the part where Sun-Il said,

"Do you know how confused I am right now?  There's no way you should know what that is!"  It just seems to me that he had no idea Jee-Han would ever be involved with the abyss.

I'm still not convinced that he has this power because his parents have power.  We still don't know if its passed down.

 

His mom told him that even though his "Teacher" was out for the week, he still had to "Study" at home.  I suppose "Study" could mean self-training, but I still took this as school related when his mom said, "Don't forget to study" when he was heading upstairs after dinner.  How much training can you do in his room? Not much.  I still think she doesn't know.  

 

Maybe you are right that the grandfather is not telling his mom the truth.  Who knows.  I agree that this is all just theory at this point.  Hopefully we get to find out soon cuz the suspense is killing me!

Mmmm... you're making your guesses who she really is, but were there any clues that the author of 
"Gamer" actually know (or knew) that by himself at these points of writing? He could think "for now let's just give her mysterious ???" which will let me to procrastinate this decision and make up my mind later, after I know some reactions of my readers or I get some new plot ideas which I can add to her (more or less developed at this moment) character".

To me it seems like his mom is an Abyss dweller who's in hiding and probably super powerful(that's why The Gamer ability is so powerful, because his enemies will be uber strong). In hiding means she was/is being hunted. Sun-IL and his family were all most definitely surprised by Jee-Han's ability, meaning they dont know who his mom really is or were never aware of her in the abyss(which seems unlikely as everyone is affiliated with clans/groups for protection/achieving goals, unless she has a mega powerful ability that let her survive alone/with Jee-Han's dad). I think with Jee-Han's ability showing itself she realizes she will be exposed soon and that is why she agrees to let Jee-Han train at Sun-IL's. She is most likely aware of who they are, but she herself is an enigma to them.

Hmm the '???' usually appears when the other player/npc lvl is to high for you to actually have any shot at them...like you biggest attack would kind of make 1 damage max...because they are so strong, you are unable to actually know how strong they are...

yes exactly. Stop guessing why MC couldn't see her level. It's pretty common thing (not to see LVL of person, who is much stronger than you.)

But "possibility 2" will only apply, if we assume she has some sort of ability to conceal herself. But we don't that for sure.
Either GAIA decided that Jeehan doesn't need to see his mom's title. Or it was his own mom that has hidden her title (if you can hide your title, you can as well change it to something )

anyway we all know, that at least one of his parents is some big shot in Abyss. (that's pretty much what that person from Abyss Auction said - Ch.27)

maybe is a doppel a clone or a shikigame with is more likely WIKIPEDIA shikigami that can show themselves as animals or birds. They must be conjured during a complex ceremony and their power is connected to the spiritual force of their master. If the evoker is well introduced and has lots of experience, his Shiki can possess animals and even people and manipulate them.  Normally shikigami are conjured to exercise risky orders for their masters, such as spying around, stealing and enemy tracking.

Maybe is a shikigame of his mother thats explain why acts like her have low lv and the title is showing since u can create a shikigame using the spiritual force of the master meaning is like her but weaker.also explain why the name and title match her caracter

This. Right before he saw her he was thinking about how he leveled his ID skill a few times. Perhaps his mom was shielded with something similar(maybe his dad put it on her). He couldn't even see her title before unlike Gramps(Shin Sun-oh) who is definitely high leveled
