So we know the Hide of Bondage has been changed into something that (presumably) benefits the wearer somehow; we've seen someone wearing it now, and we know from every Insight we've had of her that Leez ends up wearing it in the future.

 

What do you think it does, though?  Is it purely defensive?  Or does it do something else?

We know that it has a stealth function, and stealth should be useful since Leez can't recover from normal wounds.

And um, unlike normal clothes, it probably won't risk leaving Leez naked if she suffers a non-lethal wound that burns off her clothes. o,o

 

Leez eventually ends up with a back full of scars, so its protective functions don't even seem That good. D:

It might manage some enhancement and nullification... but, of what are big questions.  It seems to have been used as a catching and restraining device... but, I very much doubt that those were all of its intended functions.

 

The trigger seems to have been "lock onto the nearest, strongest signature you can find: make sure you are worn"... which would be a safe enough thing to do when you're supposed to be a set of clothes belonging to a Primal God.  Girl needs to know her dress will come back to her, you know. (Saves hunting for it. )

 

If it is there for purposes of stealth, rather than outright protection... then it could obscure or muddle scent, tracks, power-output readings, infra-red (so be the Universe's best blanket, as well), targeting from outside magic and trancendentals... and a list of other features I can't immediately think of.  As well as boosting all the sneak-worthy attributes a body has.  As long as it regards you as the owner (temporary or permanent -- and, I'd love to know what criteria are needed), that is: otherwise, it'll likely just restrain and trap you, negating any sneaking you might try to do.

 

Trapping is part and parcel of being sneaky, too.

I think Hide of Bondage belongs to Asha because Ran offered to modify the hide by taking his bro's help as a compensation to something...It's a mystery, don't know what that hide will do..

it's way too soon for any lengthy discussion , i would like to see it in operation for several episode before i make any comments other than about its a bit skimpy fashion wise .

My guess is that it blocks transcendentals. It's hopefully been changed from blocking transcendentals from the inside to blocking those from the outside. To contain human-form Nastika, it would need to have some ability to deal with serious transcendentals.

 

But as one of Kali's items, it's bound to have both advantages and disadvantages.

Trapping to me is important if you randomly run up on a human form Natiska well rest in piece to that Natiska. I don't yet see the stealth uses but I'm thinking it has more than added function maybe stealth and i'm hoping for sealing abilities. I know its a rip off of Yuta but it makes sense and gives Kubera a means of fighting and trapping superior sura. Either way for Leez its a power up.

To be honest, I don't think much about Hide will have been changed beyond how you trigger it and get it to see you as "owner". That, it seems to me, was always the difficult bit.

When I think of it she has almost everything needed to fight Sura but not really strong yet. She has the perfect Offensive weapon and the perfect defensive item but she has no stealth or anyway way to truly fight Sura in Sura form. I think that along with stealth and trapping it should have the ability to seal transcendentals & sura forms. Like Euo said I think the modification might not even be an added ability just a way to actually use it without attacking teammates or sealing them. Really the Sword of RE and hide of bondage have abilities we don't even know about but it seems Kali made them for the purpose of Godslaying(highness level of gods at that). I mean a cloak that can trap a Natiska, I mean that seems like she might have used it to trap Shiva and try to kill him but fail horribly. I can't wait for us to get full fledged Future Leez battles they are going to be epic.

Pff, that's obviously because of Yuta. Clothes can't protect you when they're not being worn.

Does that mean she becomes immortal?

Perhaps it means unlike the gods, she cannot die and come back. So she has to stay alive. 

Because she has to fight the gods...? For some reason? Hah! I should just go back to lurking and being confused.

I'm a bit of an optimist and hope that the hide will let the wearer remain the same age of when they first put it on. This will allow Leez to escape her fate of dying young. The Hoti Yama showed the the appearance that Leez will die with, but if the hide can make its owner look young, that might mean Leez could live.

The thing about that is from the preview t looks like Leez gets it now or soon but looking at the preview it looks like Leez is still 16 since when she is grown she's pretty tall for a female but yet this person(I assume is Asha) Is looking down on her. I think Asha was looking down on her when she grew too but they looked closer in height. You could be right honestly cause Leez had green hair in one and white hair in another picture of her future.

 

I hope we see some of these features of the Hide used by Lutz because if Leez receives it this Season she definitely won't have the know how to use it yet. I do hope it seals because that'll make it much easier for Leez to fight Sura who can destroy towns by just firing beams it'll level the playing field.

Maybe it's the Hide itself that gives Leez scars.
