the word retard was used as an adverb to describe Lorraine's progression of her cognitive ability. And in this case, a regression from being reasonable.

Yes, we can differ in opinion in Lorraine's current mental state of mind. And for someone who isn't a murderer to have a murderous mentality, I would say Lorraine is going into madness.

You completely missed my point.

I never denied that Lorraine has gone mad.

Insanity does not equate to special needs.

You would agree that Lorraine is still perfectly able to do complicated calculations to cast her magic?

You're... You're mad that Lorraine was angry at Asha after Asha killed one of the closest people to her?!

Did you want her to continue supporting Asha after murdering Saha before her eyes because she was supported by a God? Why the heck would Lorraine keep supporting a person that would kill close family and friends, who tried to kill her personally under a God's approval? Someone who didn't even try to explain her reasoning, who didn't once claim that what she did was for the greater Good?!

I don't dislike Asha, I really don't. I just... find that Lorraine had a justified reason for turning against her, and that you expecting Lorraine to keep supporting her just because of a God's approval, in a world that has multiple Gods, each with their own personality and agenda, to be rather absurd.

(And I agree with Horseshoe Crab, the word you used is really not nice and not acceptable)

I would expect that a genius level character with a proven ability to keep her head under pressure (both evidenced by her AA ranking) who has previously realized that there is something more going on than meets the eye (in contrast to literally everyone else was afflicted with plot induced stupidity on that regard) would calm down in the interim or at least realize that she shouldn't act without knowing what the fuck is going on, and it should have been obvious to even the blind that something planet shattering was going on.

Basically, Lorraine is symbolic of everything wrong with how Currygom handled the end of season 2.

You lose the ability to keep your cool when your prized student kills your fiance and attempts to kill you. Genius or not, she's still human and emotions have a strong control over her like anyone else. If she didn't react to it she would come across as a sociopath more so than she already does. Your friend kills someone you care about in cold blood in front of you and then tries to kill you. Do you think, "They must have had a good reason," or "I'm gonna light this motha f...a up!"

Please don't make me defend Lorraine. I'm not a fan of her but I'm sure 99.3159% of people would relate to her in that situation.

Plus Lorraine did think that there was something more going on, and that Asha had reasons for what she was doing. That's why she broke her out of prison, which Asha promptly repaid by murdering her fiance and then trying to kill her too. She let Asha go ~because she has reasons~ once and it bit her in the ass, expecting her to do it again is completely absurd.

And thus Lorraine does the opposite of reasons... by becoming absurd. Absurdity against another absurdity.

And although I don't particularly agree that it's Lorraine's fault for not understanding Asha's actions since there is no way she would have known about this war going on among the gods/suras or whatever it is that is happening among visnu/god kubera/garudas/anantas/kali/shiva etc etc, I do believe that Lorraine isn't in her right mind (read the bold sentence below).

Lorraine wants Asha dead. She's even willing to blow herself up so that Asha can die. Lorraine doesn't care about her own life anymore <---THIS. Are you sure she's still normal and "reasonable"? Is this the mentality of someone who's only pissed/angry? Lorraine is like Leez and God Kubera because she doesn't want to live anymore. And she's also like Asha because she has a murderous mentality. And she's starting to become like Brilith because she's going into depression (but we didn't get to see that part--super off topic: Yuta stopped Asha from killing Lorraine. Visnu did mention that Asha must kill both Saha and Lorraine. I believe Yuta stopped her with another agenda. Since when has 3rd stage Yuta cared about the life of a human? Anyway... ).

When you said she didn't have her cognitive ability diminished, I believed you meant her level of madness. Because from my understanding, many special needs or the ones we're talking about don't have their cognitive ability "diminished". There were born that way. So I had thought you meant down syndrome for special needs and cognitive ability diminished for mad people. And meant Lorraine is neither but just looked pissed.

Yes, a mad genius can calculate well, a perfect example would be Asha--she's also mad. But that doesn't mean her cognition is normal. Asha's logic is skewed.

Rana is my least favorite character. I like all the main characters though. At first I didn't like Brilith, but that changed. I think Brilith parallels with Leez(this may not make sense to anyone else, but in my head it does haha. I can't explain it.). Both are pretty much alone, both have no close family, both impacted by Asha, and both have odd relationships or connections to their respective gods.

Anyways, I went off on a tanget. Rana is my least favorite lol

At this point I'm gonna say Asha, and assume she's now hated by many fans. Even from a logical point of view, even if we throw away our humanity, don't care about the lives of other people, when you know you're gonna die so young, becoming the strongest being in the universe is gonna do what good for you? if you're gonna die right after it. Unless she has some trick up her sleeve... letting her live an eternal life or sth. Either way, even all that effort and years of mental pressure just to gain power seems absolutely ridiculous.

I remember all throughout season 2 I tried to keep my hopes that Asha has some really good reasoning for her acts... and even at some point hoped that she may become the secret hero of the story. Or the itachi uchiha of kubera (LOL). But at this point, even if a primeval god comes and resurrects all her victims (which I assume is impossible since whenever they talk about the dead they mention only the god of death has control over it) , my hatred won't decrease a bit.

When I was younger, I could remember anything, whether it had happened or not,
But soon, I shall be so that I can not remember any, but the things that never happened!

Just going to jump in with my least favourites .

Asha may take the number one spot right now since I really don't see any motive she might have that would excuse her actions. Yes, I pity her because of her background and the way Visnu treated her and she as a person may be endorsed by Visnu himself but she always had the choice to choose something else. What she choose in the end was the path to become the most powerful person with total disregard to everyone else.  Maybe she is just a pawn for Visnu who might have a ulterior and good motive but I don't think Asha herself has. A real pity since I thought I saw glimpses of compassion and regret here and there but in the end she just decided to ignore feelings altogether except anger, arrogance and feeling inferior/superior. I don't think I can forgive her for all she has done without some very, very good reason.

Then Menaka since she may have given the single most disastrous advice in the whole series. I have yet to decide if she was just a blissfully ignorant and stupid pacifist who lost touch with reality (after the Gods being done with Ananta there was first no guarantee that they wouldn't for Gandharva and his clan next and second no Ananta anymore, their best asset in any upcoming fight) or if she had some hidden agenda although I have no idea what her motive may have been if that's the case.

Mister is also special case since he mostly sits around, mopes around, let others do the fighting and doesn't explain anything. I am aware that there are still important things we don't know about him but tbh, he annoys me a bit.

Also "Rachel", the girl or rather the body-surfing something, who lured Leez to the emergency capsule on the way to Aeroplateau. I am not even certain why but I think her smugness just rubs me the wrong way.

Re-read it again and yeah, think you're right. Now I feel stupid. Still hate him.
