Been a couple months since it's official release, and it has being drawing in a decent crowd.
While abilities/skill grid customization is it's best feature, seriously the freedom in builds is close to chaotic (I did a 2h Cyclone to be PoE's Garen for fun and later actually got it working), the way it does F2P right is even more amazing.(only things in shop are visuals and extra vault space)
Not without faults obviously , there is SO much rng on item stats(if you get really unlucky it can actually keep you from progressing)and few support gems until late game(so ability customization really kicks in then), but regardless, in my opinion PoE was the best free game released last year(sorry Dota 2)and puts to shame most commercial releases.(but last year was pretty bad regarding them)
In a short, this game was the answer to our prayers when it became obvious Diablo 3 wasn't gonna cut it.

seems fun,

but i am afraid if i put a little more time in it it will completely absorb me and destroy my life^^

Started to play Path of Exile like a few days ago, made 2 characters,

first started with a templar, well i asked uncle google to tell me who's the best starter character, and it told me Templar that is ._.

then i chose, definitely had no idea about what's going on and what skills should i upgrade and stuff, so then i made a new character, a Duelist :3

 

my both characters are at level 7 atm, i think i'm getting hang of the game, but i don't know what are leagues for, and such other things

I started just a few days ago lol, I figured playing with duelist is the best for me, strength and attack speed which means i'll be able to use bows too

I've been enjoying this game but the RNG can be crippling and negative for your game experience.

The map error is killing me..
Whenever I go into certain map at certain time , i always got pop up error message. Saying there's error in map load. Which already occured from the very first release.. until now.
I hate it.

Have you addressed it to the company? They patch pretty frequently, and listen to user requests fairly well.

Or so has been my experience to date.

And on another note, DAT SKILL TREE.

 

I could play for years and never get bored of creating new classes with new focuses. Started with a basic marauder strength two-handed weapon build, absolutely wrecked house. So much damage, so much life leech, so much regen. It set me down the path of destruction. The only thing I have left to try is a trapper focus.

PoE - too much stat build. Too much addiction.

You play LoL, right? Why can't there a game where you could ambush a monster just like how we ambush an ai or other players???? jump n blink through cliffs, etc... for a getaway.... as a range... hitting from above cliffs.....

If you read the my posts in this thread, you'd see how many different characters you can play with, they are all different, and have different skill branches. 

It's a kind of beat up game, but in all cases, it's difficult, with higher level monsters, you just get smacked. 

 

Everything has its own beauty, PoE is a different game than League of Legends, and I play whatever is available, instead of searching for something else.

 

Yes, you may not enjoy it, it's fine, but i like to play it. Tho i haven't played PoE for like 3 weeks now >_< welp!!

I've been playing Minecraft instead ._.
