Hello everyone,

Invision Power (the core of Batoto's website) just released a new version.
So, to keep the website updated Batoto will be down due to maintenance in the near future. However, since the skin development is not yet complete for IPB 3.2, we're going to wait until then.
I've already upgraded on the test site and everything seems dandy for now.

Expected downtime: Under 1 hour.
When? I'll make a following announcement when a time can be said. Since I'm not making the skin itself, it's hard to say.

What will it bring?
- A lot of bug fixes will come with the new version (and probably new bugs. lol) that were mentioned in the suggestion/technical support.
- A dark background skin that's been requested quite a lot.
- Everything else will pretty much be a surprise to me too. xD

It beats not updating by a long shot.

Once a suitable skin for 3.2 has been released (I don't want to use default), I'm going to install it on my test server. Make announcement that there will be upgrade in roughly 2 days (time when you'll know). Fix stuff on test server. Apply on live server. I'll likely apply it during 1~3AM EST since that's the time with least amount of people online. Though... it's rather quite steady throughout the day.

just add a option for multiple theme selection from light to dark
it will be great to have a change in view

I think a physical server move is going to be added on this maintenance. The current server's network seems flaky for some reason... (down, on, down, on, repeat)

Scrap that. The timing of the order for new server doesn't sync.

Update.

Well, it's already been a month since the announcement. hehe.
I was waiting for a newer version of current skin to come out (so we can have multiples). But, it's still not out and it looks like I'll take time. I don't want to wait, so, I'm going to continue with the upgrade.

How will it look like?
It's going to support 3~4 skins in the future.
1. This current skin (once update comes out called Cielo by skinbox)
2. Sylo, demo: http://ipbskinning.com/devboard/ (new default until above comes out)
3. Even darker skin (in due time)
4. Possibly will support IPB default skin.
So, you can pick and choose how you want Batoto to look like for you.

I was actually going to suggest somewhere about supporting multiple uploads but on second hand, maybe not as that'd make things much more complicated. Also, I wish you could force a certain page to come first 'cos it seems for Batoto, numerical pages come first. That beats re-numbering the pages and re-uploading the file again.

But that's all wishful thinking.

Well, the upgrade is complete!

For a minor version upgrade, sure lot of things changed.
One of the most notable that has not yet been mentioned is your own profile. There are no longer avatar and profile picture, there's only one.

If you notice any bugs or problems with the website, please report.
Also, even though IP.Board skin is available, it's not fully supported yet. So, don't report bugs about that skin.

Sucks that I can't see if I am following a manga or not like with the old skin. I have to click follow twice if I am already following it.
