the series simply has too many characters, and all have their own story so it's hard to decide who are the main characters of kubera. The question has been on my mind and I would like to know what you think about it

Currygom's blog has a side category named as main characters(?) and they are "leez, asha, yuta, ran, gandharva, agni, brilith, sagara, kubera, maruna" for now. But i don't really see Maruna or Sagara as main characters personally

Leez and kubera: The story is about those two!

Asha: She IS involved in one way or another with leez, and has her own agenda

Gandy: Way to much screendtime, flashbacks and participation to not be a main character.
Yuta: Foreshadowed to be in the climax/ending of the story, on leez final moments either fighting leez or at her side. If there were a scale from one to ten about protagonist the ratings would be:
Leez: 10

Kubera: 9

Asha and gandal: 8

Yuta: 7 now, 10 when his true role is revealed

As Gizmos pointed out, there are 10 characters that are designated as "main characters" in this series.

 

Before you wonder why the heck they are "main" characters, consider that in this series, a character's importance could be a mix of several factors:

- The importance of the role in present time. For most series, this is the Only thing that's important.

- The importance of the role in the future.

- Connections to the plot in the past, including revelation of past events. These are crucial to the story because they give a clue as to what's going on.

 

Based on these criteria:

• Kubera Leez: Leez has barely done anything so far, but Name apart, Currygom has stated that she'll have the biggest role and screentime in the future. She's also the main love interest.
• Asha Rahiro: She's the human with the biggest role in present time, in the sense that she's the one leading the whole group thus pushing forward the whole story. She is also the key to revealing the events on Carte.
• God Kubera: He's the mastermind. It's his name at stake. And his role extends until the end, whereas Visnu seems to have taken a back seat for now.
• Yuta: Within the current timeline, his role is pretty small (even though he's damn cute), but he may be connected to the Power of the Name, and his origins hint at a much bigger role in the future.
• Maruna: Apart from being the one who blew up Leez' village, he will probably be the one to reveal more about the Garuda clan's side of the story, especially since he was separated from his siblings to "hide the Power of the Name." His future importance is unclear though.
• Gandharva: His own story only seems indirectly connected to the Power of the Name, for now, though more could be revealed later on. Well, he had a pretty big role in present time. Future role also uncertain.
• Sagara: She may not seem like much of a main character, but she's more closely connected to the central plot than Gandharva. This whole mess started with Ananta's death (or at least scaled up there), and it's Ananta whom she wants to avenge. Regardless of what she could accomplish in the future, the fact is that she serves to show what happened from the Ananta clan POV, which is pretty crucial to understanding the story. The fact that she became King, even though she shouldn't, suggests to me that there's more to her than meets the eyes. Maybe she also made a deal with Visnu?

So, the above characters all have major roles in the story. The "main" characters whose status are less clear are:

• Agni. For now, he just seems to be caught up in the events. However, Currygom once noted on her blog that Agni's past will be revealed. We also know that there's a woman he's looking for. I thus suspect that he's connected to this mess as well, in ways we don't understand. He'll likely also play a more active role in the future.
• Brilith. She's Agni's battery for now, so it isn't really apparent what makes her more important than say Teo. However, Yama noted that there's a reason why Agni can't see her future. There may be a bigger role in store for her, even though it's unclear for now. She's also Asha's friend so who knows.
• Ran. He really seems like extra for now. Still, he's the grandson of the current Yaksha King, so he may have a more important role in the future.

Strangely enough, Kubera's story starts when the main-main character is still in her larval stage of development, so to say, which is why she seems pretty much useless for now (even though she'll become much stronger in the future).

I wondered whom the Busy beaver who did This it appears Goobera , and Macha did most of it , with others contributing

Kubera Leez is definitely the main char as all characters in the story will be involved with her. However, it is unfair to think others as supports. I actually like a quote about this comic: "All characrers in Kubera are the main character of their own lives.", if you think like that, you would appreciate the characters building of this webtoon.
