First of all, if this is an inappropriate thread or something, please merge it with the latest chapter discussion thread or something instead of deleting it. Now then...

died, I was sad as hell, but at least he didn't announce it blatantly in advance. Sure

taking on Kurome by herself was sorta a death flag, but...

 

In this latest chapter, he basically announces it with

Mein's confession.

 

That's like someone telling you that he's gonna hit you with a baseball bat in 10 seconds compared to hitting it without forewarning. If I can't do anything to change the result, I would rather not have known in the first place!

 

This author is a sadist, I swear to gawd.

Man, I still don't know which one is worse.  Either it's the shounen-esque "It's impossible for the main character+friends to die and any death is just temporary" thing or it's stuff like this where "We kill off important characters to motivate the Main character and rend the reader's heartstrings"

Since the death flag is visibly too obvious this time around, I don't think Mein would die; rather, I think Tatsumi's the one who'll go next. Then he'll probably get revived by Najenda's usage of Susanoo's magatama with the cost of either her or Susanoo's life—That's probably the "second" ability of the magatama Najenda was contemplating about in the tub.

 

Whatever the case, I don't care. Chelsea died already, along with my hopes and dreams...

Now that would be interesting as I was thinking the same, but instead just that Kurome uses Tatsumi's body against Night Raid and after he is revived he finds out he killed Mein with his own hands.
