I thought of that, I think most readers that aren't little kids have had that thought occur to them. But she doesn't even like it when she experiences his masturbation high, no way is she going to have sex with him unless she decides she really likes him, even if it might be either of their last day, at least that is my read on it. That said, they have gotten closer mentally speaking, that they get close enough that she considers it in the realm of possibility, is possible, on the last day, or perhaps they become a couple after if they both survive this.
But unlikely, as no matter how much fluttering, aggressive come ones, naked misunderstandings and romantic moments a manga might have, sex almost never happens. Even married people are rarely suggested as having sex (they might make it so that it is apparent that they do ever so often, but any particular time is a complete mystery) There's a comic where the MC has a wife from the start, and they don't even have sex then,(not even as a realm of possibility off screen kind of thing) granted they are young. I read a comic where a guy wakes up next to a naked women, and it turned out they actually had sex. Which is definitely worth commenting on, considering that waking up to a naked women in your bed is actually pretty common place in mangas, especially compared to the rare event of actual sex.
