Does anyone know any websites with Japanese online comics?  I'm looking for something to translate, and I don't speak Korean, and I'd prefer for the raws to be publicly available like the Korean ones often are.  I'm looking for something like a Japanese version of Naver, I guess.

Any ideas?

I dont think online publishing is that popular in japan , as far as i know with the exception of few mangaka's that release their series online on their own , there isnt a single magazine that has online sharing program as pivot for their releases. You might have better luck with translated series regarding the issue.

You can take a look at www.comic-r.net and www.webcomicranking.com, the comics aren't directly hosted there but they link at mangaka's website (they're japanese webtoons ranking sites)

One suggestion I'd have would be Comic Valkyrie, which recently converted from print to an online version. I only know about them because of the Freezing titles but I know they have other titles as well and are indeed a Japanese language publisher/site...........

Yeah I've been having trouble finding some, and it doesn't seem like the ones that exist have all the great coloring that some of the Korean series have.

Cool ranking websites, I might be able to use the rank and find a comic that isn't getting any attention in English.  Thanks.

HAHA they are all heroine comics.  It's what I was looking for though, I'll keep them in mind, thanks.

Cool stuff. I'm having trouble finding where the comics are hosted though; I'm mostly just seeing Amazon links.  Do you know how to get to the hosted comics?

Haha! are they? :D

I can't say I'm surprised given Freezing is the title I'm familiar with of theirs, I suppose that's indicative of their other works too. I'd kinda wondered, the few times I'd seen the covers or extra pages in raws or on their site it was always other hot babe characters XD

Well at least it's less of a problem if you make a mistake translating one of them, because everyone is probably just looking at the pictures anyway

haha!! well, you've got a point there, maybe that's what comic valkyrie is thinking too, give 'em plenty of fan service and they won't ask too many questions :D
