Not sure if this belongs here but on April 24th at around 4:50am as i was reading manga, one of the ads gave me a download for a "updater" which i promptly deleted. I also have had a few redirections but i just back out of those and return to reading before the redirected page can even load up. The fact that an add tried to get me forcibly download something made me bring this to your attention

Yesterday and today, I was getting redirected to the following address while visiting the main page of batoto.com:

 

hxxp://update3.flashes-player.us/Player1/C/update-de.php?installer=Flash_Player_11_for_Other_Browsers&browser_type=KHTML&dualoffer=false

 

It looks like some sort of malware to me, faking the look of something Adobe Flash. It wants to automatically start the download of an executable file.

 

I don't know which ad did this as I don't see batoto.com when I hit this as my browser is getting redirected. I don't know how I'd go about stopping the browser from redirecting to inspect the page and find that ad's code.

 

This is pretty scary and makes it hard to keep AdBlock disabled for batoto.

This ad bothers me as it pops up every time I go to a new page in the manga I'm reading.

It seems to happen regardless of the manga I am reading.

Additionally it doesn't seem to be relative to the advertizement that is displayed around the page, it just opens a new tab on page load and changes my browser's focus to it.

3. I am using Windows 7 and Mozilla Firefox.

I've been reporting specified redirect/popup ads but it seems they're having difficulty pin pointing the source. They think it's caused by a partner network using right media, but can't figure out which is causing the chain of action. I'm basically sending all the info I get which are relevant to them to help them find it.
 
Even if you feel like it's happening everywhere, please note what page you were reading when the problem occurred. Which page (the comic and n'th page of the chapter) it occurs in determines which network started the problem. If it's two separate problem, I need to know it's two separate problems. This is the most critical information and I can't take any action without it. I can't bundle one issue with another because they look similar.
 
Also, if you get it a lot and frequently that it really interrupts your reading experience, let me know and I'll temporary remove ads for you as some people will get the issue more often than others.
