That is not going to happen Murdath.  I can just see my prediction coming true, based on how this comic has flowed so far, and others like it, even that last ending scene with the soldiers threatening her in the cage. That general guys going to be letting her out (with guards/chains or other precautions from her escaping) and pampering her hoping to seduce her next chapter.

 

This comic doesn't care about realism, and it's not going to make a exception with a central character like that in that way. The fans might lynch the author otherwise

Just noticed... English translation has almost caught up to releases in Japan!  Genuine heartfelt congrats to Turnip Farmers for their hard and disciplined work thus far.  This team impresses me more than any other, esp as they process _more_ content _more_ quickly than other quality scanlation groups that deliver "just" a single publication weekly.

So, Shin knows his way to the palace, maybe he will manage to get there on time. But I think that the story would be better with his concubine dead and only his daughter alive. So that Sei can display his ruthlessness against his opponents and destroy everything in his way.

Chapter 489

Here is a idea, Riboku needs to be killed, he's going to cause immense loss of life making things more even and more difficult.  He's standing in your courtyard surrounded by your people. Kill him. It's not honorable, but screw honor, compared to killing random villagers and making arches out of their bodies, killing the visiting Riboku is ultimate in honorable. Maybe they will give some explanation as to why he can't just kill him, but if they don't, or the reason given is lame, I will be upset.

Isn't it a bit late to be talking about needing excellent archers after you already have folks committed to and dying for your siege attack?

 

"Now do you have any excellent archers? If you don't my plan falls apart completely and all the lives spent on it are wasted."

 

"Um, no, we specialize in melee combat. We got no decent archers."

The way I read the situation was "We already have decent archers, but if you have a specialized one, the casualty will be less than expected". Though it's more of a plot device rather than a rationale to introduce the archers brother.

He wants the citizens begging for food from other cities and eventually the army themselves.If they kill their own citizens then possible revolt, if they let them starve outside the walls, same thing, and if they feed them, that represents a drain on the resources of a particular area.

Mouten is probably my favourite character in the series, but I find it difficult to cheer for him
in this battle. The best outcome for me would be to see Kisui slaughtering every single one of the Qin
soldiers that are coming at him in waves, but it's out of question historically and plot wise.

It's crazy that this manga put us in a place where we are actually cheering about
bastards whose mission in life is to conquer other nations.
