What's up with M-21's new personality from the beginning. I'm starting to catch up on the series while reading current chapters and the the latest M-21 seems like a whole nother person. Interms of looks and personality. Was there any actual character development or did he just change because the author lost track of his characterization?

It just seems like he became the quiet one for some reason. I thought that was Rai's thing.

Yeah....the one we see now is M-21's twin that had been wearing a mask for all his life, thus he is shy and doesn't speak a lot.

Jokes aside, I think it's a new guy. M-21 must have died back when his friend died and this one took over. That's the only thing that could have happened. No one changes that drastically. ==

I really wanted to see the experessions of KSA agents and Cerebus when Rai uses his power.
I wonder if the battle will be shortly.

I find M-21 changes believable.

going from hard-ass villein to smack talking good guy. I think it was being around the kids, not seeing himself as a failed experiment and having a normal life, well as normal as you can get when your a the organ recipient from a werewolf, made him a different person. I think m-21 is the coolest guy in Noblesse.

I really love the combative almost Sexual tension between M-21 and Na Yonsu. for all the beautiful people there isn't a lot of sexual tension, blushing and tenderness yes but no, "I don't know if i want to kick your ass or ride you like a pony!" I'm hoping that Na Yonsu and M-21 can give me at lest a taste of that.

I did feel like there was the beginnings to something of a Shinwoo/Seira in here and that be cool to see but really I'm not expecting any romance in this.

It's not smack talking that was really my problem. He's just been a the quiet type alot recently.

Just as potato said, they (the princess and Rai) never really got along. Perhaps their relationship worsened because she thinks he's (partly) responsible for the previous Lord's eternal sleep? It's stated that the previous Lord and his people suddenly all went to sleep (or abandoning them), thus causing confusion. Having to inherit the throne under these circumstances must have put a lot of pressure on her. And Gejutel, a loyal follower of the previous Lord, who was probably trusted by him, being the only one who didn't went to sleep, is fishy, no matter how you think about it. Neither do I think she had anything to do with Rai taking his nap, since one day, he just vanished (not even Frankenstein knew about it). The favoring was just his wish to both lift the burden on his daughter (we all saw how overprotective he was) as well as easing Rai's burden, because he even outright states that anything is better than being the Noblesse.

You're right. It's stated in the webtoon that he's a human. He's most likely a very heavily modified human, since his research notes were used (by that one guy of whom I forgot the name) to create modified humans like M-21, M-24, Mary and Jake. Yuri (?) mentions that his abilities are similar to his superior's (that dude above), which is hardly surprising, since he practically stole them from Frankenstein.

M-21's change is believable. At first, he wasn't too evil either; he just wanted to survive/avoid catching attention -> being experimented on again. After joining Rai, he found new friends in Rai and his company. He sympathized with Tao and Takeo because they too were used and thrown away, so it is only natural that he'll feel disgusted by the KSA's underhanded methods of 'recruiting' people.

I didn't detect any romance between Shinwoo and Seira. I thought she meant it as a friendly remark, because she's nice like that.

in a nutshell, what I was writing about was "I can't believe Rai's character has had practically no character development." in comparison to others, of course.
I was a tad more eloquent in the previous reply though.

I mean, he's supposed to be the main character, right? and these past 220 chapters have probably all been lead up for like a super huge showdownthingy, what with SPOILER-->his semi-powerlessness and the fact that main character's secretary has probably realised that crombel's power is based on his, and probably won't be able to defeat cromber without getting eaten lol by the demon in his arms the monster/dark aura thing, not his super muscles <--SPOILER and by that extremely simple view point, I believe that Rai will have some action soon. and by soon, I mean possibly a hundred chaps or something lol.

we're learning heaps more about him, no arguing that, but for now, I suppose Rai will remain the selfless (or extremely private, don't give a rat's ass about anything other than ramen and frankie dearest and his precious students and the freeloaders) person. or at least to me. he just sort of seems like what the authors lay back on to defeat the bad guy. I just want him to progress mooaaaaarrrr

and not really liking the progress with the school kids. never really liked 'em to be honest.

I really liked the school kids until now, but they didn´t have anything to do in the whole manhwa, I mean yes, they had to be rescued, but not really a lot more. everytime they show up, you know something will happen to them and the others are going to war...

Thats true every time they pop up, they either get targeted or kidnapped and rai has to go rescue them. I like the idol girl, i wish there would be some romance for rai maybe with the idol girl or the lord would be good for him.

in the chapter when franky was fighting mary he did told that he was the one they were made from or something like that
it probably meant that he too was an enhanced human like the ones organisation makes

If you pay attention there is evidence that Frankenstein's research is the source of Cromwell's research (this also makes me wonder if Frankenstein can turn int a monster in the same way as Cromwell's minions do, though even so I doubt he would as even his spear is trying to kill him... and I don't see him resorting to something like that anyway unless Rai was in trouble...)
