Discussion of raws that have not been released.

It was painful prying things out of the Google Beast, but here's chapter 46.

Has anyone read works of Jacques Lacan? The definition of desire not as appetite or demand for love but as the difference between demand and what's actually needed. Very interesting...

Special Chapter.

Hi, Writer here. Happy New Years!

Part I. How is Frost drawn?

1. Inspiration. I find ideas from journals, books, psychology papers, and conversation with the professionals.

I hear a lot of the stories. At this time, I meet with my advisory team team. After getting the basic story background, I study in depth, adding some introductions and development. I have to plant the seeds and see if the stories can grow on their own (?).  After all this, my head becomes a mess, and I tell myself not to get intimidated by the chaos.

2. Plot. Get a big piece of paper and start deciding what the major events are. check the connections between the events to make sure they make sense. I do this by myself, but dialogue with another person really helps. I talk to the advisors and they make suggestions to the plot. Professionals are required. I rely on papers and interviews with counselors/psychologists.

3. Finalization. The events have to be cleaned up and trimmed. This is a straightforward task.

4. Scenarios. The scenarios need to grow a certain way. The climax and ending require lots of emotional directing and take up a lot of time.

5. Working with pictures. Enter the figure operations. I go over the rough sketches with the editors, and get their blessings.

6. Sketch. Using my studio program. This is the most time consuming part of the process.

7. Pen touch. I use a stylus pen (?). I listen to the radio, every 30 minutes or so or I will fall asleep.

8. background. Done with the 3D program.

9. Coloring. Background synthesis, tone corrections, and effects.

10. Editing. Continue to edit in web form.

In this way, if I work 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, I can finish (a bit late).

Part II. Q & A

T/L Note: Very briefly, some of the questions were: how many seasons? (2 or 3 seasons/years), the breeding of Pavlov? (mixed breed), the age/height of the Dr.  (34/ 184 cm), Frost's favorite music (bach), Yoon's hobbies (drinking out with friends, playing smartphone games), clothes of the protagonists (shopping mall/magazines... writer apologizes for the fashion sense.)

And the important questions of why there is a wound on Frost's head, why Frost can feel negative emotions, whether there is a love story line here?

"Please wait for the story to develop."

<Wall papers for those who wish to down them />

Stories will resume next week with Desire of Others IV.

Commentary:

This is an excellent chapter. It shows Frost doing the treatment before the prognosis is revealed. He is pulling Lina in to play the part of the stern mother and Yoon doing the part of the youngster, forcing Anna to play Sena's role. No doubt Frost is trying to play cat and mouse with her identity to make her realize the issue. The name of the album - "Another Me" - takes on a pretty significant meaning.

Doing these kinds of translation takes up significant amount of time but even more so, emotional toll. One becomes too drawn into the story like Anna... For people who enjoy the story I think this is a significant problem... It's when the reader realizes he or she has been hooked by the author and couldn't let go. I didn't realize I would identify with this story on such a level. So it becomes the story outside of the story. Think I might need to take a break...

Chapter 54 - Desire of Others VIII

Spoiler

Commentary: I have once listened to an interview by HyunA (of Bubble pop fame), about the making of one of her new songs, where she tries to tell a funny story about pushing one of the male actors into the pool. I felt there was a glaze over her... it was a horrible feeling. I think on some level, she doesn't think the story is funny at all, but is forced into telling it by "contractual obligations". Not sure whose desires she's reflecting, the general male public or the advertising industry.

Psychologist's Yellow Room #6

T/L Note: This one's pretty much self-explanatory.

Yoon wakes up with a hangover and tries to remember what happened. She remember going to Frost's side job, and is impressed by the drink that his handsome colleague makes. His colleague continues to make drinks for her... then, what happens after that?

Frost wakes up, without shirt on, what's with the noise?

Yoon: Where's your shirt?

Frost: Back there, still wet.

Yoon: Sees the vomit trail. *Runs to the dorms.*

Frost: sees the camera pen, some recorded images of when Yoon passed out.

Manager sees the handsome bartender, and asks if he wants to be a celebrity.

T/L note: I'm going to take a (long) break before tackling the next arc, Solar Eclipse. In the mean time, feel free to discuss Desire of Others... many interesting topics available for discussions.

@ Dried Seaweed~

Thanks for taking time to translate those! I just got into Dr. Frost, it is seriously underrated! Then again, its a slow pace story with very deep content, so not many people might appreciate it.

Your raw made me very curious what is the condition of Frost, he seems to have lost part of his emotional sides. Arrghh so curious...i guess I'll just go see Naver without understanding anything lol

Edit~ Went to take a look at Naver, the sound effects are actually quite appropriate, gave me some goosebumps D=

I'm at chap 65, where Prof Song gets her haircut. I'm just wondering whether she's beginning to get jealous of Frost and her sis, that she subconsciously cut her hair, such that she now looks eerily like her sis.
