Music to get you in the mood:
Anna was there holding Geo tightly. Tears was falling from both of the two's faces. How much did he miss her face, how much did he miss her beautiful smile. But he was greeted with tears, he never wanted this to happen. As the tears were a mixture of sadness and joy. But the sadness in those tears made Geo sad as well.
Never will he want to leave her and see her face in the gloom. Never will he become a lone wolf and suffer alone, for he has people that loved him, cared from him. He had a family, and it was a beautiful, comfortable feeling.
If he had the ability to turn the clock and reverse his actions. He wouldn't had left to go to this city. This city was a mistake, it was a place where it's to kill or be killed. A place where all his problems lied. He wouldn't have to be stuck in the war between gangs, under the leash of the supernatural, and to be the one to be blamed as a traitor. All because he left the people he shouldn't have left in the first place. If home was were your heart is, he left his heart for far too long.
Perhaps he was selfish to leave. He put his life on the line to live properly in the city. Just because he felt unused, it was a hollow feeling in the end of it. He was useful to his family, and he should've seen that. But at last, he could correct that once again.
He had Anna within his arms, and he felt her warm body touching his. He felt like he would never let go of her. He was cold, he was cold for too long.
The final realisation struck him, he would leave and return back to his real home. Alongside Anna, alongside the other family that took him in. He would leave forever, he would never turn his head back to what lied in the city, and the city would be soon forgotten in his mind. The city was good for nothing anyways.
-----------------------------------------------
Anna has waited, and waited for Zen to return. She worried about him, prayed about his well being. She tried her best to be strong as she was alone without him. Many days seemed like weeks, and weeks seemed like years. Same as the days that felt like she was going to breakdown without him. She had her other friends, but they knew that they couldn't fill the void in her heart.
Then there were days that she believed that he was dead, that he was long gone, that he was with someone else. Those days hurts her to the core. If Zen knew about this, he would never forgive himself. He already looked like he was full of regret in his eyes.
She mustered her courage to see him, and there he was. Together they were locked into one big hug.
Maybe one day that Zen would pop that special question, and if he did, she would say yes. A day to yearn for, together.
------------------------
"Anna, let's go home. Back home together, and we can be happy one again." He said to Anna.
She wiped her tears and touched his cheek.
"Of course." She said with a warm smile.
The smile that Geo loved was in front of him. They kissed, and they left the apartment with their hands held together. The city was now behind them, and they had a future to see through.
------------------------
Gale wasn't able to recover his injuries. His world is not like earth. There was not enough catalyst in the atmosphere to provide him the energy to recover. He laid on the cold ground, dying. If he never went berserk, he wouldn't have to die this way. If he never went to earth, he wouldn't had to suffer the pathetic human beings that loitered and polluted the ground. As his final moments reached him, he dissolved away into particles.
Exodus, the two headed puppy howled and disappeared as well. His creator that provided him life is gone, so the flow of life to Exodus was gone.
Purple particles arose to the atmosphere and vanished. A phenomenon that happened spread around the world. People tried to prove it was legit and some people tried to find a scientific explanation why it happened. Everyone lost hope of that event and just like Gale and Exodus, the wonder of the phenomenon disappeared as well. It was just like a faded memory that will never appear again.
Little memory, will you continue to flicker in the light?
If you do appear, will you give us a fright?
Are you fading because in the end you were bad?
A memory that was haunting, frightening or sad?
Rest away and you can finally rest and close your eyes.
As you will not hurt anyone once again and see their cries.
Twilight that shines around the sky
enshroud the people who die
let them sleep and they shall not wake
for they're not in their world that which they make.
