At the end of the current latest chapter of the series, which is 26, is a box that states that the final chapter is the next one.

 

The page is kinda spoilerish, but the series is unfortunately ending at chapter 27.

That's disappointing. I was liking this manga. It got cancelled after 27 chapters? That's kinda lame.

While it did indeed end in the latest issue at chapter 27, just because it ended does not mean it was cancelled. :|

interesting, thanks for the heads-up. and yeah, just because it's ending doesn't mean it wasn't successful and got cancelled, many stories just aren't made to go forever like some of the never-ending shounen stories do. This is a very good story but it really doesn't surprise me that it wouldn't be hundreds of chapters long, it's just never really seemed to have that kind of depth to it.

27 chapters is a pretty long time, for a monthly anyway. Shame to see it end so soon but I'm fine with it if it manages to wrap up nicely.

Wow, that was surprising, I thought that story line would go on for another chapter or two and build tension.I guess that just goes to show how it's heading towards its ending.

mmm, well, Baka maybe just hasn't updated it yet, maybe isn't going to update it until a tankobon is released, hard to say. Though yeah, if people in the scanlation community like Derek are saying it's ending, I've no doubt at all it's true...........whatever mangaupdates might say in this instance.

Generally on MU, if a series has ended but the volumes haven't all been released yet, it will have it like that. So, before the final volume (4) came out, it said it was still "ongoing" at 3 volumes because the final volume hadn't been released. Although yes, MU was behind on it's information, because the final volume came out in April.

In my opinion the way the happy ending went felt a bit.. anti climactic to me, personally... Just a touch too bland, plus the guy doesn't look any older. If he already was about 25 ok, but at his age which I assume is about 17, 3 years can be quite alot.
