I managed to get my wife back into this series after she learned that it got serialization. I'm also going to buy 2nd copy of Volume 1, and two preorders of Volume 2.

I remember reading the first chapter of  TWGOK and instantaneously getting the feeling I had stumbled upon a gem. The same thing happened with the first chapter of Eyeshield 21 (although I read that in Jump), Shaman King (also Jump), Aku no Hana and the one shot of Nisekoi.

 

It's the feeling you get when you know you're reading the first chapter of a classic (or at least a very successful manga), and from the one-shot you know Koe no Katachi will be one of the most interesting reads you will have.

So yes, it is worth every second of your time.

its worth reading this, ive been bullied before so them feels got me real good. i really like how the mangaka showed not just the social but also the familial sufferings of persons with disabilities. this manga also shows the twisted society we are living in. all in all this manga is a good read.
