Moon on Water
I stretched out my arms in full might,
Hoping to grasp that wondrous light
Although these hands weren't enough
To deserve the moon’s placid laugh
I crossed the moon on cold water
Then waves formed and moved aflutter
Ripples broke the reflected moon
Alas, the dream had to end this soon

Water and Wine
My glass was full; I let you have a sip
You asked for more, you drank it all
Plain water was all I could let you nip
I believe you knew ‘twas all I could keep
Such a shame, it wasn't to your liking
Water’s taste won’t ever change in time;
A fool I am for truly believing,
You knew water does not taste like wine

MIST
I send it through feathers
Each letter, each word,
To a faraway land
For a faceless stranger
I sing a melody
And whisper it to the wind
As he plays by the moonlight,
Joining our heartstrings
Many times I say,
'Tis not but folly
Yet at times I pray,
'Tis love so holy
'Til the day we meet,
Here I shall wait
Though mirth oft fleets,
I'll leave it all to fate
