as title says, long loading issues, sometimes there a error 404 image with azumanga daioh's "osaka" on it.

somehow, batoto is becoming mangafox that is famous for their image server to always overload.

I wonder where you got the "arc." for the domain. It's just www.batoto.net. Simple as that.

I always monitor all the servers so that they're online and have not reached capacity. All the servers don't even use 1/3rd of their maximum on average and peaks at 1/2. I don't see why you would be having this issue unless the problem is with your ISP.

Let me know what it says when you see from below image:

Batoto's image servers are divided in two categories which are then further divided by geo-location for speedy delivery. "img.batoto.net" for fresh and "arc.batoto.net" for old. Though, the two are technically same now.

I've actually had the same problem with the main batoto site. It seems, from what I've noticed, to only occur on images larger than a certain size. The size problem is normally that it's wider than a normal image, while still remaining around the same height. I have no idea if this will help, it's simply my observations.

Here is a link to one page where I've had the issue. I have no clue what the image size was. I only discovered it with other cases by going to other sites to find the missing page.

Anyway:

*EUROPE for me.
And I too noticed it's gotten kinda slow.
To "temporarily" fix that, I have to change it to US East after almost every new image, because it keeps changing back to Europe.
And if I don't... uhh, it goes Nope.

MAIN for me. And I never had any problems whatsoever on Batoto. So it could be just one of the servers?

Well, the europe server is definitely closer to capacity (from disk throughput, actually has less bandwidth usage) than the US server.
Though, it's not something I'd label suffering so much that you'd notice a big slow down.

The EU server was just renewed few days ago, so can't switch now. :P But I'll schedule for an upgrade by the end of the month if there's more people with issues @ europe.

Not a particularly useful reply, but I just wanted to chime in and say that I haven't noticed any problems with the European server.

According to Loki, this problem has been "answered already". Don't see an answer to it anywhere, but on the chat someone did tell me that its a problem and they're looking into it I guess....

Well there seems to be something sketchy going on. Need to wait for Grumpy to confirm if it has something to do with the servers.

I feel this is a mix of too many potential things to say if it's resolved for x or y...

1. Since the issues raised for those in the US server, I've raised the file limits (which noted a few errors, albeit not that many).
2. I've deployed a new europe server which will replace the previous one since the previous was nearing it's capacity in disk reads. Though, it will take few more hours for it to propagate to everyone.

I'm hoping this will resolve all the issues. *crosses fingers*
