It has finally happened!

I've been following this manga for years, and Sumika finally confessed! I'm sooooo Happy! I honestly though this moment would never come, seeing just how many good manga had its translations stalled indefinitely, or abandoned altogether. And it was a tear filled confession too!

Seeing as the mangaka was impatient enough to basicly let half of the tension out (by allowing Kazama to know it), I was afraid it would result in some crappy "I love you/Yes I know/Oh" scene. Fortunately, it was a good scene, not some half-assed one.

It's a really harsh contrast, when I compare it to the other "big" confession I waited for long-long times, and got just recently. Yes I'm talking about the one in Genshiken,

so I'm glad this didn't turned out to be such a huge disappointment.

Considering this is one of those rare "Mutual feelings without knowing" things, I'm glad this went as far as it did. I mean, not often these manga get such a long storyline. Not to mention character development.

I did re-read the story a few weeks ago, but I still need to re-read it again a third time.. to add in something more concrete. <.>

On the Genshiken one . . . well, that's Genshiken. No cliches allowed, no high drama undeflated. It fit, in a weird way. A manga's gotta be what it is.

Sasameki Koto is sweet and heartfelt . . . not naive, there's some awareness there, but it's like "Yeah, we know we're being cheesy, maybe we're a bit embarrassed but too bad the feelings are that strong!" and I love that. Yes, ch. 46 was a very lovely confession. Well, Sumika's--Kazama's brother's confession was sort of a textbook guide to how not to do it. He always seems like a nice guy normally, he must be an amazing chump to manage to be that insulting while asking someone to marry him. It was a hilarious scene.

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't they in a relationship a few years back but broke up due to him not willing to commit mainly because of his little sister? I could be wrong ( I haven't re-read this in quite some time and could be confusing this manga with something else ) . So in a way it's not really a "confession" it's more of a like let's hook back up and get married because I'm more stable and can afford more time to be with you. It was still one of the worst ways to ask someone to marry you though, but I guess that's what made it so funny.
