Alternate versions/different periods in time..? I think they even used Ivalice in FF12 and Vagrant Story.

All the Tactics games take place in Ivalice, yeah, though it's highly likely (IMO) that there are many different variations of Ivalice. The Advance games, as I recall, take place in an Ivalice that was built upon Mewt Randall's desires and imagination upon reading the Gran Grimoire (which is found in Vagrant Story as well, curiously enough--it's even called a "machinery of life itself"). As for the rest, my collection of thoughts is so long even the comment section's telling me to shut up. lol

Ah, I see. Still a good chance to make a tactics game with the advance races but with the same kind of game play as the original. That'd be wonderful.
