Classic LN promo manga but I have no idea what was going on in that last chapter.

It had a rushed abrupt end.

It doesnt mean it was cancelled, likely they planned to just make 3 volumes as few Light Novels get long Manga Adaptations, I remember Hundred manga also ending. These manga series are often just a advertisement to the Light Novel unless its a very popular series (like Index) they only last a few volumes.

Hate when these things happen.

Good story for manga, only to turn out to be promo for Light Novel... it sucks. And I usually end up giving it a bad rating for that. (I don't rate a manga series until I finish reading it to the end)

Why did it say that "volume 3 will be out near july"?

Didn't it say fin? There's another manga volume coming?

Volume 3 will be all these chaps we've read. Like 9 chaps., probably? So starting from chap 19 is the volume 3.

Why did it say that "volume 3 will be out near july"?

Didn't it say fin? There's another manga volume coming?

Once a manga storyline gets to a tournament arc you know the writer has run out of ideas. They can spin their wheels for several chapters of "MCs pulling a winning strategy out of their asses" combat until either the manga gets canned or they come up with something else to move the story forward. In this case it got canned. I'm waiting to see if that's what is going to happen to Tsugumomo which is hip-deep in a team tournament arc at the moment.

Remember this is a translated light novel, the manga just choose to end here like most light novels that become manga (they seem to have a 3 volume rule). The light novel's goes on well past the arena arc (if I recall correctly, the next arc is the royal family arc, and then the war arc after that). This manga was only meant to increase hype for the light novel, which is still on going, and much father ahead than this manga.

But way to make yourself look like a dumbass with those massive assumptions. :D

eh

Well, it was good for a bit, started going downhill for me at the parts with the little girl and when he basically became a mech suit.

Shame the manga is over. It was really fun journeying with Kou in this world of theirs. Not sure if I'll give the LN or WN a shot, but I can be satisfied with an open end like this.

once again a good series is killed because it needed to be bait for the ever annoying light novel trap that is ever increasingly larger.

at least to make more than 2 years worth of manga for a LN trap isn't that bad

so it ended as a shota, it smells like an axed series

Yep... I mean he suddenly conveniently gained the powers to shift forms at will now and visited everyone, lol. Well I guess the story was getting kind of stale. There was no "greater evil" to progress the story.

so it ended as a shota, it smells like an axed series

Maan, this series is one of unique isekai yet got axed. What's next? Isekai Tensei Soudouki? Gate JSDF? The New Gate?

Yeah, espescially the war arc, the enemies is using modern weapon like Tanks, seems like they have otherworlder too...

Lolz, don't compare this average series with so-so art style to higher level like Isekai Tensei Soudouki, Gate JSDF or the New Gate. This series is axed is expectable with poor sales rating.

This is the end of the manga, but the novel it is based on does not stop here, it has 17 volumes as a complete web novel and 6 volumes (ongoing) as a light novel. You can read the translation of the web novel at https://www.lightnovelbastion.com . Believe me, it gets even better after the tournament arc (in fact, the tournament in the novel is much better).

The translation (of good quality btw) has progressed a bit further than the end of the manga as of now, but is much slower than for the other novels on this site (maybe if it gets more interest, they'll speed it up a bit). And this is the only current english translation, as it has not be picked up (yet), but an english publisher (for good and ill).

I heard that they forced the author to stop writing the web novel and work exclusively on the manga. Someone told me alphapolis is pretty shitty towards its writers. But I digress, if Kou smashed the dungeon, doesn't that mean the surrounding area's economy would collapse?

You heard wrong.

A simple search shows the Web Novel is completed at 17 web volumes as the Light Novel is ongoing at 6 volumes, when a web novel is picked up for publication, naturally the author is going to stop writing the web novel, this was nothing but another Light Novel promotion manga.

That sucks if that's true. Although with the manga over now, hopefully that means he can resume the novels. There have been instances where ended manga and novel series got a sequel well after it was finished. Time to read the LN I guess.

Edit:

rereading it from the beginning: they didn't even meet up with

Spoiler
in final chapter like all the other characters!
