This seems quite low on Caek's priority list.  I'm fine with that, because this is about my least favourite of Caek's projects so, priorities in the right place Caek!

@ Caek

it would be nice if the English translated ch's came out at a faster rate than one ch per year ... because that is what it is

we appreciate how fast you are turning out ch's of The Fairy Captivity ... could you please do at least one ch of Space-Time Prisoner per month

Not sure why Japan felt the monsters in the anime needed to look like giant tentacles. Oh wait, yes I am sure. It's f***ing Japan.

H'm.  I might have thought of a hack for his ability.  The question is, how do you define "landing"?

Spoiler

There is an art, it says, or rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. Pick a nice day, [The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy] suggests, and try it.

The first part is easy. All it requires is simply the ability to throw yourself forward with all your weight, and the willingness not to mind that it's going to hurt.

That is, it's going to hurt if you fail to miss the ground. Most people fail to miss the ground, and if they are really trying properly, the likelihood is that they will fail to miss it fairly hard.

Clearly, it is the second part, the missing, which presents the difficulties.

[monotone]Oh, goodness, a cliffhanger.  How will I manage the tension as I wonder whether or not the MC gets eaten by a monster, ending the manhua in the middle.[/monotone]

This chapter did not take 5 months to translate. I just had stuff to do. ;)

I'm shocked.  SHOCKED, I say.

kek, i bet no one was expecting an anime. :))

A little late, but i didn't realize this was coming out with an anime, since this is Chinese. but i guess i'l give the anime a shot.

So after watching the anime's first episode I'll likely keep watching. I am totally okay with it passing the currently translated chapters, but please keep translating, as I am sure the anime will end at a point where you just want more. Japan knows how to treat addicts right. Make them want more and then deny them more while addicting them to new product.

So now. It has an anime.

The anime series "Bloodivores" is out.

I haven't had much time to translate, and what little time I have had has been spent on doing editing for Yaoguai Mingdan and translation of Fairy Captivity. Pardon the infrequent releases! :(

Lol'd at them both having to crash at that hallway. [spoiler]While he might not be able to cancel his ability midway, he said repeatedly that others are only affected as long as they touch him. Besides, I wonder if he couldn't just set a new spot midway anyway. Or use dustflakes or the like as spots, thus gaining free control.[spoiler]

@ Caek ... thank you for another ch :-)

Ah, sounds like it's different from the Japanese 青 then.

Well, 青 is the character for "qing"... :)

    • Kokai likes this

How about cyan?

To clarify--at least for the case of the probably-equivalent Japanese "Aoi"--it's a word that covers the whole range of colors from blues through greens.

Aquamarine maybe? It's defined as being between blue and green and just slightly transparent.

Ah, sounds like it's different from the Japanese 青 then.

Huh.  Gaelic has (had?) a colour like that--"glas" if I remember right.

If I recall correctly (from secondhand knowledge from my sister's art class, so take this with a grain of salt), there's some interesting stuff in art theory (or more possibly color theory) about which common "colors" a language comes to distinguish between. Apparently there's somewhat of a sequence to it--pretty much every language with colors can distinguish between red and blue, for instance.

At least among the roughly six rainbow colors we're used to, I think blue/green is one of the comparatively later/rarer distinctions, though not so much as red/orange (and indeed, on that note, the Japanese word for orange is the loan-word "orenji"; though I don't know about Chinese.)
