"An insecure shoujo heroine" -- I'd say about half of them are like that.
I think I ended up following this just so I could continue saying goofy things about pudding.
That's not the poor pudding's fault. There it is inside that prison made by the evil packagers going "Eat me! Eat meee!"
If you foil their dastardly plot and rescue it it's a happy ending for everyone.
Or if the said pudding has an "easy opening" that is not easy to open at all
