You don't mess with Seiji's favorite.

We have been spoiled by so many chapters released the past month! Thank you so much to the group for their work on this heartwarming series. :)

You know, Seiji is not just a gentle kid with some "female" hobbies.  He is actually a full-fledged shoujo heroine--pure of heart and optimistic, capable of melting hard, mean or cynical people with the sheer force of his sincerity.  Hence all these difficult people--violent/yankeeish, bullying, or what have you--are mere character foils to show us the awesome power of his vanilla.

Bullying someone is one thing, but why did you have to do it at the poor Chairman's expense Nao :(

Sounds yummy. Must see if that's available in these parts.

Be aware that what I came across was almost syrupy. I came across it the first time in a Japanese Restaurant in upstate NY of all places some twenty years ago or so and was surprised.

Anyhoo, to the chapter at hand - 16...

Every once in a while a manga brings out a chapter with totally off the wall content that hits you like a "bag of flour from around the corner"...POOF!...and all you do for a second is stand there blinking. This chapter did that to me for some reason.

Totally did not expect either the chairman or where the story went. I liked it, and was chuckling to myself with a ??? expression above my head at the end though. :)

Yes...plum wine is indeed a strong tradition. In fact my fave wine is Shiro Plum Wine - it is also a sweet desert type wine, fwiw, and is different from Plum Sake, which is also pretty good. (Three cheers for Moyashimon, eh? Hmm...I wonder if I spelled that wrong....)

I hereby nominate Chairman for MC, or her own manga, whichever comes first.

...But also, in Japan classically wine means rice wine--sake. And I believe there is a strong Asian tradition of plum wines. I think in Japan grape wine is mostly a recent Western thing, so if you're talking grape wine you need to specify.

Also yes...in Europe (and America by extension) the term "wine" is usually used exclusively in relation to a fruit based beverage with grape being the huge default fruit used.

But of course other countries have other types of alcoholic beverages. In European use some might say sake is not "wine" technically, and might lump it together with mead, beer or kvass or the like. But that is just a question of definitions, I would guess (could be wrong). It is very likely in Japan they would consider Sake to be "rice wine" and refer to it as such and differentiate in relation to it.

Interestingly, a quick browsing through online articles on wine mentions that in the Philipines they have a wine based on bananas...I wonder what that might be like. Hmm.
