One word: ridiculous. All the misanderstandings and the characters are out of this world and completely cliche.Thank god i skipped after the first 12 chapters and read only the last two volumes because this is the only part that there is actual story progression. However the story is really idiotic: a doctor is stronger than a mafia boss ! the evil father suddenly becomes good!

The author must have been continuously drunk while he was writing the story.

This series first came out in 2006 if you did read the author's postscript, and from what I've gathered, the raws [y.a.g.s.] uses is in Chinese. Many details is also lost due to the quality of the scanning. This manga is Seinen but the translations seems too simplified to me, I'd say the translator(s) is also partly at fault here, but nonetheless is still appreciated for bringing us this series.

Regarding the doctor being more powerful than the yakuza, I think it is measured by wealth and political prowess of the former, since there are more than one group of yakuza in Japan, such groups also varies in sizes and can be further broken down into smaller sub-groups. Somewhere in the chapters, I think it mentioned the Fujiwara-gumi is just a small rural group.

There is no Psychological genre, so obviously there will be no real villains, I personally have never thought of anyone as evil while reading from start to finish.

Well... I can see you're capable of calm and rational conversation, and have clearly read every manga ever written. Because clearly there must have never been a manga that had a light and happy romantic tone that turned into NTR. It's not like the whole point of NTR is to build up with that sort of happy and lighthearted tone, just to tear it down.

No, wait, I'm pretty sure that actually is the whole point of NTR. In fact, it's the whole FACT that everything was going so well before that made the risk of something bad happening so great. The happier someone is, the greater the risk of something going terribly wrong. That happens both is western AND eastern media. It's very common.

But thanks, for calling me an idiot, and full of shit.

...asshole...

No. You haven't read NTR series before, and you have no clue as to how it works. NTR is not "any random romantic affair that happens in your lifetime". NTR does not just have a random stranger fucking the girl in the last two pages of the series you're reading. It has a very obvious development and relatively early foreshadowing/development of both the victim and the perpetrator, and it has a definite format that is not described in whatever arbitrary definition you pulled out of your ass.

This series had no clear development of the three "involved" in the affair until the very end when it was obvious that the series was just taking us for the final "get through this misunderstanding" ending and the tone of the couple throughout the series ensured that stupid shit like that wouldn't conclude badly.

Please don't talk about NTR like it's some common concept you can see in series, it's not and you don't have a clue as to what you're talking about.

Funny....I was saying to a friend the other day that it's unbelievable for any work to attempt to make the reader, the audience; feel pathos towards a giant asshole....And now... I have this.
"You see, the devil-father tried to enslave his own children, sell off their future; he threatened, blackmailed and even concocted a forced marriage between his son and a politically-influential woman of which none of them wanted -- because....He wanted his wife to die peacefully out of his own selfishness! I'm sure you cannot contain the tears and sympathy you have for Devil-father, here -- have some tissues."

So, you see everyone? Devil-father is actually a good guy after all.

Nah, it's too easy to abuse this manga at this point. It's not that fun anymore. What is still pertinent, though, is that the moment the manga went down the cliche-route with its stupid offbeat melancholy for no reason, is the moment in which the author went : "Welp, fuck it." And in a way, I think the gratuitous deadhorse tropes and non-sensical development is something to admire in its horridness.
I still believe the author was either dared to do something extremely stupid with his manga, or he lost a bet and thus began to meticulously plan the most idiotic way to end Dousei Recipe.
What a train wreck, which is a shame for it started off pretty well. But, I guess at least it ended in an amusing, self-hating manner.

Classic ending...

Now come the sequel:

Takao is handsome, he can get every girl he want, but he's not satisfied, cause he never found the true love.

Will Takao be able to love someone ?

This plot is fairly exaggerated, gonna give you that, but the purpose is clear, and it is to make those two mature. They were for the most part an innocent and lovey-dovey couple, but there is more to a relationship than that. They have gone through several "mostly" ridiculous, embarrassing situations, but nothing really deep or troubling, which is what happened now.

The father is awful in every way possible, the whole blackmail stuff is really dark and it will take a Deus Ex somehow to beat that, since apparently the father has a lot of money behind to do what he can to even Yakuza. The key factor is clearly the mother, meeting Suzune, she will see it is the girlfriend of Takeshi and then will convince the otherwise awful father to let them be.

But that's all there is to it. It is overblown, but a somewhat needed event to ensure character development.

PS: What the hell is NTR that I see is a term being used a lot here?

NTR is stealing another person's partner through rape and domination. As an example a girlfriend is blackmailed or forced to sleep repeatedly with another guy and in the end she starts to like it and is no longer satisfied with her boyfriend so she leaves him for the guy who raped her. Obviously there is nothing like that here. The MC was blackmailed by his own dad to leave his girlfriend and come work for him.

Sounds interesting. I'm gonna start reading this manga soon.

I'm gonna take words to those who said it's no NTR, just minor thing, right? (i hate ntr btw LOL)

NTR = Netorare, where guy/girl watched their loved one being ****ed by other one.

I've summarized it, so Google it for more info.

Dropped on Chapter 9. This bitch is unbearable.

@BGmaxie , I'm way ahead of you. <:

@Purple guy
I catch your drift there, but I could not come to the same conclusion. From the little Shoujo manga I read, that pattern kept popping up: The main-guy (prince) is being forced to do something due piling circumstances (mostly family matters), the couple is being separated, the female-protagonist goes off to the rescue to save her prince (in the most flamboyant, fantastical and ridiculous way possible).
Which is why I previously said : The derpy author just sat back and used a deadhorse cliche to redirect his story's path for absolutely no reason...There's no room for NTR here, just excuses to force the characters to have extreme character-development in bathos....The "Save The Princess" trope is abused for both male and female characters.
Anyhoo ~ having seen your intake on the matter, I can see why anyone could really think "Hey, if they did this stupid shit..Anything is possible!"

No NTR. Read the raws a year ago. The author is just a horrible tease.

Without getting into length as to why I intuitively speculated that this specific manga will never, EVER, go NTR or, god forbid, take anything seriously -- the asspull, retarded twist that Takeshi's father is the corporeal manifestation of Satan, kidnapped him with inhumane "bwahaha!" vileness that even soap-opera antagonists would not dare exhibit -- and, lastly, isolated him with the bullshit cooperation of Takeshi's childhood-friend / sweetheart, came so completely out of nowhere that it lays on the border between an asspull and diabolus-ex-machina.
The twist made so many plot holes, broke so many character personalities and premises that [/spoiler]

Well . . . if it's that badly written, there are those of us whose intuition would consider it a more likely candidate for NTR, which is a loser of a plot development which really ought to stay in hentai where it belongs, and which very rarely has any basis in reasonable character development.  Luckily, NTR, especially as originally defined as opposed to the apparent current definition which seems to be "anything even vaguely associated with cheating", is actually quite rare.

Wow his father is awesome, he didn't afraid yakuza at all

Actually it's weird, why doctor have more power than yakuza?

The early chapter when her father didn't aprove their relationship is good

but after they have sex is turn weird

No, wait, I'm pretty sure that actually is the whole point of NTR. In fact, it's the whole FACT that everything was going so well before that made the risk of something bad happening so great. I think he meant that *this* specific manga had no chance of actually becoming an NTR, regardless of any other manga. I actually agree with that speculation, since as far as I seen : The entire "I have to leave you now because my dad is the devil, oh cruel fate thee playeth with me so I shall now cut my wrists oh the drama oh the melancholy oh" atmosphere the manga had going on was nothing but a giant subverted "rescue the princess" trope of shoujo manga that makes absolutely no fucking sense and was asspulled for the sole reason, I imagine, to push the manga several more chapters due to complete incompetency on the side of the author. When you're out of ideas, use dead-horse cliches!

Seeing as it isn't, apparently the author is just not very good. So, yes, whoever was actually "lead to believe it might go NTR" ....Well, I won't use derogatory terms, but I will say you (guys) didn't pay attention. At all.

Here I said I won't go into length.

P.S: Thanks for the upload 'Y.a.g.s'! Even though the manga went downhill, I still want to, at least, respectfully *cough* finish it. =)

More like the people who thought that those "lines" ever led to anything even worth a damn were idiots who couldn't even tell the tone of a manga

There was absolutely no risk in this series that focuses way too much on the main couple, anybody who says that "there was risk of NTR actually happening" is fucking full of shit

Too many love is blind crap manga.  I like to read something different.  This manga had a very nice turning point to move on but the writer dragged it back to the love is blind crap.
