Ahhh Its done? Well it was a nice ending nonetheless. very cute UvU
Thanks too much for translating this aqua scans!!
This is one of those works marked as "promo manga"
It's where a manga always end in the middle of the story and tries to grab the audiences to read the novels.
I don't read the novels, so... many of these type of works always end up with a low rating from me.
Because I don't really like open ended ending with lots of questions unanswered.
Plus... I doubt many people would like to read their childhood Fairies as a slave...
Which reminds me why I dropped this series in the first place back a year ago...
Thanks a lot for this scanlation!
d'aaaw love it~ thanks so much AQUA
Speaking of "thank yous" (or the lack thereof), I love that the author made it so that The Great Mythrill Reed Pod refused to say it in words. Faerie lore I've read states that saying thank you diminishes the act and is a way to disregard it for as soon as the words are uttered the act is dismissed and forgotten. So most faeries see the words as an insult, and it was reeeeally cute how tsundere that made him too Lol!
One thing I didn't quite like was Mythrill acting and lying; usually faeries are physically unable to lie, but obviously this world the author created doesn't follow that logic and I'll have t get over my bias and enjoy the story. ∩__∩
Wait, there isn't going to be any more of the manga? But the last page of chapter 10 said "Volume 2 will be on sale on Oct 20th". I really want to be able to continue reading the story in manga format.
Oh, and thank you for the translations ^__^
I'll be very satisfied with this, if it ended now.
Prepare your salt if you're going to read the novel
Man she looks so happy. Good for her.
This might be end of the manga, but it's not the end of the story!
There's a lot to be told and if you're interested, we're doing our best to translate the light novels (we're currently in the climax of the second one, which is an arc after the one that ends in the manga).

"Only in recent times?" Actually, there's a large amount of precedent for successful ransoming... in medieval European warfare, one would take enemy nobility hostage rather than kill them, and it was fully expected that they'd be turning them over civilly in exchange for a large fee (I believe this is where the term "A king's ransom" comes from). If you couldn't--or often, wouldn't--pay the ransom, the person would of course be killed. Strategically, this all worked out very nicely for everyone.
The problem usually comes in when there isn't a reputation at stake. If failing to hand over your hostage doesn't hurt future "business" prospects, then you really have no incentive to keep your word.
Thats common in kidnapping cases. Its only in recent times where the hostage is actually released after the deal is done. (Which is, of course, why kidnapping/taking hostages in the past only involved the rich/powerful/nobility. The poor/weak/peasants would simply say 'sucks to be them' and simply spend the time/money increasing security.)
Welp, after reading that latest novel chapter (v 2 ch 4) I say,
SOMEONE KILL THAT JONAS ALREADY
aw really? i'd love to see more emotion on his face for sure.. too bad.
Something I just thought of (spoiler of what should happens in ch 10)
ooh her fairy is so pretty <3 left us on a cliffhanger now didn't it D: thanks AQUA~
That was a sad, yet adorable update~
Thanks a ton AS!
aww such a sweet (lol) chapter <3
I didn't think it that way. If Ann did marry him and she kept quiet about it then the people, including the king, wouldn't find out and so he gets to keep his head.
Damn. Ann dodge a nasty bullet there. o_o
yeah you're probably right. He probably thought that as long as he won the title, he would be alright. Not thinking about the consequences once people found out his horrible sculpting skills.
*__*
I think him seducing Ann was part of the parents' plan, they know she has the skill for it so if she marries into the family then she'll have to help him out even if he takes the glory of it.
But nope, most likely Jonas failed to understand that far and just think that he's to seduce Ann ONLY for the medal-worthy sculpture.
For similar example,
And, probably there will be another chapter of the light novels tomorrow.
omggg it was sooo cute I couldn't stop awwin'! >///<
That bastard!! So he wanted to marry her just so she can make it for him!!? ughhhh! What a conniving bitch! Now I really can't stand him. >:[
And his family are in on it?!?! WTF what happened to their pride?! Their honor?! Do they really think they can hide their son's piece of shit sculpture skills once customers ask him to make some?
Had to put this in a spoiler because of text limit.
Real spoiler
Thank you AQUA Scans for translating a chapter! You guys are awesome!
