Nariyuki Makase no Tengu Michi

...you guys seriously need an editor/proofreader for that last chapter....or were the web raws just that hard to read?

This series is awesome. I hope someone picks it up soon.

If somebody does, it will be because they found some way to get decent raws.  When Dengeki Daioh Genesis shut down, this particular series was moved to a web viewer only format.  Chapters 4-6 can be found on the web, but at a very low resolution not very suitable for scanlation.  See http://daioh.dengeki.com/webcomic/

Looking over chapter 4 in detail, I can read it easily enough now.  It gives more backstory in a funny way.  I can see how the Photoshop guys would balk at playing with it, though, even if the raws in this case are "pre cleaned".

Tarou- "Ye~s" "...But because I stayed up all night, I slept to noon, so I wonder if it would be alright...?"

Yipes.  Didn't see that.  "bring and bring it..."  I'm cringing...  Where's that proofer?  When your mind is being twisted six ways to Sunday by translation you sometimes miss things that a second pair of eyes catches quickly.

In any case, the meaning was supposed to be something like:

Father: "Didn't I tell Jirou to 'go and bring it back' properly!?"

It was the father who stayed up all night waiting, and then slept in to noon as a result.  He wondered if it would be all right if Tarou could do him a favor.

Still a useless father who won't do things for himself...

Father Tengu, in spite of the obvious physical evidence that his little girl isn't so little anymore, was trying to use his notion of psychology to punish Jirou for not doing her job.  As if she were a five-year old.

 

Of course, we don't see him going out and getting the mask for himself either...

 

As a plot device, it simply goes to show how dense the father can be, and serves to get Jirou into Nariyuki's house on a semi-permanent basis, setting up further pratfalls later.
