Now now, go easy on the MC. It's not all his fault. I say about 70/30 between him and the princess.
I still think the confession isn't going to make this manga any better. The MC is just too dense and stupid.
Ohhh

I loathe the solo male friend character... his sole reason to exist is to act judgmental despite not really initiating any events himself.
I.M.O the main char is pretty realistic... he tried cause he loved her and in the end with loving someone there'll be pain. So he endured as much as he could but the childhood friend, the princess and the male friends all suck with no honesty, it's really selfish.
lol just read the comment written by Irecinius, i said i usually root for the childhood friend, especially since in most cases they dont get end up together(from stories i read anyhow), that y i said i dont know who to root for, i want them to be happy, though im not naive to believe that ending will be happy for everyone. I greatly admire noobu for his changes, i not as strong willed as he is. As for him having a chance that all up to the mangaka, wat the mangaka decide to take the story will be that, dont know how the story will end up but im really looking forward to it ^^
Gosh, what a lot of people who have never fallen in love.
Dude, just Move along!
the main character is pathetic i dont even feel bad for him
Main character kinda irritates me.
That was a great chapter if something actually happened. It was like a repeat of the chapter before...
@JTai The only Childhood friend who wins is the one who leaves for many years only to return and fall back in love after:

A. Forgetting then remembering...
B. Tsundere
C. Mixed feelings.
This manga always seems to frustrate me, yet I can't help but read it. -_-
maaaaan! drop that rooftop bitch!
Being the childhood friend is probably the worse position in the manga universe they almost never end up with the main character.
@Geassknight
So what about that guy that loves Yuiko before him even came into their life? he is more of a childhood friend then he is..

Doesn't he deserve a chance? the one that was stolen and crushed by the guy that came crashing into his life, even tho he put so much effort in changing his image, never changed the fact that his childhood love was simply stolen, by that guy?
ehh meant to say "the one they love" oops, shouldnt try to write a comment w/ a headache
i actually,in most cases, alway support the childhood friend or those w/ least likely chance to get together the one they one, im rooting for you Yuiko eh and you too Nobu...great now i dont know who to root for -_-
Yuiko is putting herself in such horrible place..
Helping him get over the way she is, will just cement her into the friend zone!
@Rater : You are either drunk, or a bit insane, or a good man.
I agree with you, but try cutting down drinking while reading mangas, will ya?
This was serialized in a shounen magazine: Shounen describes targetted demogarphic= Yes this is a shounen it was put in a magazine targetting the shounen demographic

This manga is pure Epicness. When i read this i can feel the rage, i can feel the sadness, it makes me laugh, it makes me supress my laughter as i watch the suffering of the characters.

This my friend is what reading manga should be like, you should feel it, drink the emotion with a smile.

To those that dont like, go ahead drop it, i will be sitting here giving a toast to my fellow rage and sadness lovers as we drink to even more sufferings and hardships.
Damn you walltexters, now I don't have any constructive comment to do.
These characters at first, felt like their emotions were portrayed with great detail, hence the previously labeled genre as "seinen". However, I also feel as the chapters went on their character base still wandered back to the cliché "products of my environment" structure. Two friends, who were picked on and then saved by our protagonist's younger self, set the tone for future development. Of course the fat boy who turned reliable would hold feelings for the female member of their group, especially since it was just those two in the beginning, with an outside actor suddenly emerging he might've felt that he needed to be stronger for this girl, thus his high school persona is more assertive and his physique improved as well. All in all, it's gotten a bit predictable and I encourage the shounen tag that has been allotted instead.
Curse me, but I am excited that I feel things are now moving.
Was expecting this to be a slow paced manga, but with ch15 I'm now prepared if the pace is faster
It shouldn't need to be said specialy on a SEINEN, but relationships aren't aways roses you know..
You aren't always the first, and many times you aren't even loved in the begining..

I see this as a nice take on a realistic approach to a relationship

Where, there are out there people that like you that you don't even know about people that like that person that like you
and yourself liking someone, that has their past and bagage of their own... and maybe people you don't even know about making moves on the girl you want.. (this isn't happening yet.. but hey you know sometimes you lose the girl without even knowing)

The way things developed seemed pretty normal in a real world...he goes make his feelings known, they get together and get to know a bit more about each other (not much abeit) but the most important is that she realized that her own feelings weren't changing.. she WAS willing to give a try but just didn't work out...
There isn't much to do from there on.. she was sincere and explained to him, and well was honest with herself..

Yuiko is still just a child, with the mentality "go out with only the one you love, have just one boyfriend in your whole life, sex after marriage..children and live happyly till old.." is that real? seriously, is that what y'all want? because thats what pretty much everyone hoped for i guess then got their little hope crushed to bits..

Both her(yuiko) and that guy, had pretty much no say on what was going on with Maza's relationship with Sumika..nor they had the right to get angry or at him the way they did..

As my new favorite character said "You'll get kicked. If you get in the way of someone's romance..." and thinking that you support her is just getting in her way, and you will end up kicking yourself.. and that will probably hurt.. (kuddos for getting it)

Yuiko can't see what is happening right under her nose..

As prediction i just hope Yuiko doesn't act NOW... it spells DOOM for her to be trying while he is on the rebound..
