And please explain how the Black Maiden is not dead by 9 Dragons Exploding Thunder when Len "did not notice" her death and found out who did it

Not very, only a few references were actually made of the Beng Bang one you are talking about, and so far they have explained the reasoning behind in those instances of it, so following this manga will not be difficult at all.

While I enjoy Flowers a lot, the 'because the plot needs it' power creep really could be handles a lot less cack-handedly. Even a lazy author could add an offhand comment (Guardian spirits weaken their Shamans after a decade or so, off the top of my head) to explain why the former crew aren't around when these OP younglings rampage. I understand that for the tournament you need lots of new high-level Shamans, but just having the characters 'show up' really feels unconvincing. Curbstomp battles don't really tell us anything when they're used like this.

hmm... considering that the patch tribe has connections to aliens, I'm starting to see this as a thing that happens on multiple planets, whenever a species reaches sentience, somebody shows up and organizes them so they can maintain their planet's GS and also give the planet a single ruler, which probably makes things easier when they reach other planets on their own

it'd be nice to see them get to this subject this time around, since they kind of just left us with some minor hints in the original SK
