OMG once again Kenpachi has proved to me how badass he is!

This is the last arc. Shueisha boldy announced that. The Quincy arc has been planned to cover loose ends since the peak of Bleach. About this arc lasting long like Hueco Mundo, I doubt it. Bleach has been shamely low on the table of contents, which is able to interpret how well a series does. If Kubo tried to prolong the series, he will either get a Mago or a To-LOVE-Ru ending path. In other words, he either improve his work, or end it paced quickly to avoid rushed ones.

I can now see shounen Jump trying to persuade Kubo to continue similarly to how dragon ball Z was suppose to end with Gohan replacing his father as earth's champion during the cell arc. But at the moment I don't feel like Kubo has given up on his series and continueing either because of outside pressure or for the money. Again Kubo did say that this arc will be tying up the loose ends (why Ichigo is so specail, bankias and lots of backstorys) which is why I am not on your side of the boat yet.

Of course don't get me wrong. In my opinion bleach would of been better off if all of these loose ends were SOMEHOW tied up before Aizen defeat (you know guy who manage to recton himself into the first chapter of bleach and was the master mind behind every single fight Ichigo was in). This way we would not need a rushed fullbring arc to give Ichigo an excuse to get his powers back and nazi Quincys to tie up the loose ends. On a side note if it turns out that this is not the last arc then I am completly jumping on your boat with arms wide open.

@thelast3321 I was thinking it might be like what was depicted in Bakuman where editors sometimes keep pushing an author not to end a series if it's wildly popular, like they did with Eiji. Since Bleach is definitely one of Jump's mega money making mangas, I'd doubt they'd let him end it that easily. Maybe ending it with this arc was the best compromise they could manage? Or he could just be doing it for the money, like Tsutomu Nihei did with Biomega

At the moment I don't think that kubo has lost interest since he is trying to tie up loss ends with this arc and he has already stated that this is the last arc of bleach. Also I don't think that shounen jump has the power to actually force (if you stop we shounen jump will send you to jail) Kubo to continue something that he wants to quite. Although again I could be wrong about this since I do not live in Japan and hence don't know about its rules.

Anyone feel that maybe Kuto Tite has lost interest in Bleach? Ever since the end of the Aizen arc there doesn't really seem to be anything going for this manga, so I'm wondering if he's just continuing it because Jump isn't letting him stop one of their super money maker mangas

moledark I don't recall Ganju dying in the soul society arc and wiki as declared him as still alive. Anyway the purpose of Ganju was to be a tool to look into Rukia's past and develop her character development since it was by her sword that his brother died and it also explain why she gave her power to Ichigo. The reason why we no longer see him again is because he has no purpose in the current story since he is not a shinigami and he completeted his goals which was finding the truth about his brothers death which was the only thing that tied his destiny with the shinigami. Also how is Ganju that important? From what I remember he was nothing more than a one dimensional character (the comic relief) who was only serious when Rukia was brought up.

so any one remember ganju cause it kind of sucks that he was all important in the soul society arc and then they get rid of him and theres no reference to him after it just saying why go to all the effort of making him seem interesting and such and then kill him off

If Ichigo's mom is a Quincy then that would mean that Ichigo is from chronological order a shinigami, vizard, hollow, transcendent being, fullbring, Quincy hybrid.

Just rereading the Aizen arc, and it just occured to me that we never found out what Ichigo's mother is, did we? Aizen says he was always aware of Ichigo because of his parents being a shinigami and a ________. Isshin steps in before he can finish and it's never mentioned again. I'm going to take a guess and say Quincy, considering the fact that quincy seem to be of Germanic heritage, and if his mother was european that could possibly explain his light hair. Anyone else wonder if that's where the new arc is going to lead? Ichigo has quincy abilities or something?

I think they stated that this is the last arc. And I couldn't be happier, this has really been drawn out like crazy. Not that Bleach is bad, but they really need to end it.

That said...This Qunicy's are pretty much Nazi's. From their uniforms to their attitudes.

Not sure if that is just poor thought into an enemy, or if that was the point.

Then again, it's not like my villains are any better
