The last chapter...That broment... !!

Oi, that escalated out of the blue...

I feel like I missed something inbetween. Did one quarrel over invesetments and politics turned into a silent war?

Part of me don't buy it.

Tae So a cunning villain? He never had an ulterior motive when it was about Ken. He pledged his alliance, almost sacreficed himself when Bae Song stroke... There must be something else at play.

The way Ken distances himself from the group showing at the same time he is hard as a stone (well, that can be red awkward ;P) - maybe its about a low profile before the storm thats coming? To strike the WDC from the blind side.

Crouching So, hidden Kitano.

/lol.

Is it? Or it's the other way around. Where Tae-soo stands in the front and gets the hard bulk of things.

If you mean like, Ken cannot do these politics things and all, it's true but still, He would never, as a boss, condone those things. Ken isn't a cunning guy like Tae Soo, he doesn't "use" people.

But I also think this thing was kind of abrupt. there is something we don't know yet. That and, Tae Soo and Ken's bond is, imo, real and deep. They are more than friends or partners, so I don't think Tae soo wished harm to Ken. More like, Tae Soo knows just hoow dangerous their previous state of affair was, they have japan's biggest yakuza group against them, so yea, in that sense, Tae Soo is protecting Ken.

He's the only one that can build such an empire, Ken cannot influence what he doesn't see in person because his charisma doesn't allow for that.

ken? die?

the chances of me dying after writing this comment are far more serious.

I know this is a very serious point in a very serious arc but Ken's 'silly' expressions still get me. Reminds me of a much simpler time.

Marin was a bro at the end there. Only true men shed their tears for others.

I love KEN KITANO :D

damn it TAE SOO ,, a LIAR .... but ken could possible killed by tae soo schemes hayz :(

Ken was a necessary existence to Tae-Soo's plan. Plus it allowed him to scheme in the shadows without ever being the one in danger. His role is now over and he is a liability.

its been a while since i read the beginning of this but isn't tae's own fault he's not boss. he was kicking kens ass and then quit when ken got up.

I'm not super into romance, but here is a loose string with Yumin.  She is the heroine and the author still hasn't shown her and Ken reconciling after the other arc, just how many days pass in their world?  It's just stupid to bring her up once the White Dragon arc starts, like hey now I'll bring out Yumin when the White Dragons make their move.

To be honest this foreshadow was prior to the Yumin part (as in they went more into it but had to bring Yumin in because of the unavoidable conflict with WD). I believe they will get to that part either during this arc or after it. After all Yumin is facing her own troubles.

Nice analysis. I completely agree. I would also add that I think the reason Ken is telling Do-Huen to fight him is to show him how much stronger Ken is compared to everyone else. How large the gap between Do-Huen, who is arguably the second strongest in the group, is will help Do-Huen understand there is no need to worry, and that no army can take down Ken!

I don't think brawl will matter much at the current level. the only one with real power right now is Tae-Soo. He has money, political power, henchmen and the rest. I think Ken just want to do some firendly spar with Doh Heun.

As for the rest, I'm of the same opinion as Pineapplearmy

The way I see this is that Tae-so is setting himself up as the leader of the Sun-ken rock group to draw attention away from Ken and even possibly use himself as bait/a fall-man for when the White Dragon clan attacks or business dealings go south.

My reasoning for this all comes from two events. First is the fact that Ken stated that he isn't worried in this chapter; which for me means that he's figured out what Tae-so is trying to pull with his current actions. Ken has shown that he can read the intentions behind Tae-so's actions pretty well as shown when he confronted Tae-so about the casino incident. Ken had basically figured out Tae-so was the puppet master behind the whole incident only a few chapters after it all began.

Reason number two is as simple as just trusting the character. Tae-so always seemed willing to push Ken to extremes and even go against him every now and again fr the betterment of not only the group but Ken himself. And while Tae-so is a flawed character I'll still take his vow to follow under Ken seriously.

I can think of a few things I could put in the speech bubble in the right panel of page 8. With a face like that, what she actually says is kinda boring.

Anyway, what's Ken up to? Well, he's a true man, so I guess he'll do manly things all the way to the end instead of wimpy things.

Tae-Soo is such a scheming turtle...

Still no Yumin, did the author just kill her.

Tae-So....th_42.gifHow could you...you were all bromantic with Ken a few chapters ago...

I can see the ending...

Tae-So, thank god for development...

double cross Ken!!

And the art keeps getting manlier and manlier...

look like he don't get it when ken say jump you say how high

Man, the dimmest bulb in the group is the only one who seems to have a clue of what is going on.

I tend to think of Pickaxe as being the dimmest bulb, really.
