Kimi no Iru Machi

So which one shot with the girls was you guys favorite? For me it had to be the sister and the childhood friend lol they get married before the manga ended.

Watching the recently released OVA on the weekend reminded me of how badly I wanted Akari to be the end girl...now that I think about it, this is probably the first time I ever wanted the childhood friend to be the one

You wanted her to end up Haruto? I know what you mean in terms of her being the best girl but shes better off with her husband. Haruto can't even propose face to face. 

This isn't really a fantasy chapter if you replace the "a year" with "two years". Just saying. Sure it might need a bit more rewording, but the scenes can still be the same.

So we're back here for the last time, I guess? Akira and Nanami are still the best anyway.

In the end it was a worthy ride, personally Ring was my favourite though and Fuuka sucks quite frankly.

I don't know if you guys hate or love this manga. There are pages and pages of complaints each release, yet you guys still read the manga the entire way through: All 261 chapters of it. Maybe you guys really do like this, and don't want to admit it because it's popular to hate it? I dunno, but it's kinda baffling how you can sit through something you "allegedly" dislike so much.

Can't speak for the rest of them, but the reason I kept following it is because I remember how good Suzuka was so I kept coming back each week hoping Kimi no Iru Machi would meet my expectations "THIS time around". This disappointment is also why I had some hate towards this series. There are plenty of manga worse than this one, but basically noone sticks around to complain because there's no expectations in the first place.

So after reading those fantasy chapters in one go, I must say the best was with Rin...

That's because most of us, respect Seo Kouji. He's a great mangaka and has a great ability to tell stories. Just take Suzuka for example, it's still one of the best romance/school life manga out there. Even though it has been many years since it finished... You'll hardly see a manga from this genres as good as Suzuka. And Kimi no Iru Machi was also very good. Until the pointless fillers started. That kinda killed the manga. The last +100 chapters were painful. But if we don't take that in account, it's an amazing series.

Those fantasy chapters are seriously just rubbing salt on the wounds...

It seems you haven't been paying atttention to most of the pages in the comment section. There are couple of known reasons why people still keep up with this serie: One, some people don't like dropping a manga without completing it, especially ones that had great potential and later turn to shit. The second reason, which is more common, is most of us want to see our favourite female characters as much as want in whatever panel. Take Rin, i follow this series to see more of her relation with Haruto. And my reward in such courageous effort is the Rin fantasy chapter Seo made. I still hate this manga though, had so much potential until fucking Seo blew this shit out of the park.

Seo Kouji: David Cage of manga. Good start that turns into a shitstorm by the end.

I pretty much gave up on this since chapter 160, but since it ended yesterday I decided to finish what I had started so long ago.

It wasn't an easy story from where I left off, and it wasn't easy thereafter. From love interests moving on, to that damn breakup. All except one development wasn't disturbing (Akari pre-wedding), but it hurt so much to see them separate. To see that they couldn't stay the same people. That they had to meet new people. It tore me up, and reading all those chapters in two days didn't help.

Despite that, I am glad that no bridges were burned. That despite the mess of romantic and other relationships, there is a future where they can be happy.

I don't think I could with another manga like this, so I hope the next work is a little (a lot! more) carefree.

I read this because of Suzuka, even though that also had it's tough moments, and I'm glad I did... Overall, it still hurts to think back on some of the events.

And to us, the masochists who kept reading his darn manga. I dropped this early on, at chapter 20~30. Then I saw this manga ended and decided to marathon it. It's good, Seo never fails to make me rage but at the same time, I wish there's more of this. Good job turning us into masochists, Seo.

I've read this manga since chapter 57ish. In the last year it's seemed to be just drawn out, and I honestly didn't like reading it. I gotta say not though. with it being over and all. I feel kinda sad that there won't be any more. It was a good story for the most part. and Seo is a damn good mangaka. I hope his new project Fuuka twists my emotions like Suzuka, and the beginning to middle of Kimi no Iru Machi. We can only hope though.

And why people like you can't understand something so simple that when  i (and similar to me) start reading a manga they do it till the end and despite hate and everything they do not drop manga? Besides comment section is for commenting, remember that it doesn't matter if comment is bad or good it's still a comment.
