I think this comes in part from the nature of how the isekai fad started: It's completely inverted from how normal trends happen, and kinda an online phenomenon that set off an entirely new avenue of getting published. The normal process is a publisher solicits for new authors and you would make a submission and hope you get picked up. You maybe had just a synopsis and a rough outline of the starting arc and some major plot points. You would then be writing the entire thing with the help of an editor from the beginning.
Isekai series are almost entirely licensed by publishers scouring webnovel sites like Syosetu.com (Kinda like Deviantart or putting a fanfic up on fanfiction.net) for popular titles. These series were often written on a whim, rarely expecting them to actually become popular, usually involving personal fetishes or interests of the author. Chapters are short, usually with bite-sized updates posted every few days or once a week, etc. So the editor then has to go back over what may be hundreds of "chapters" written over several years and try to help an amateur writer rework the story and characterization, etc.
i wouldn't necessarily call Isekai a "trash" cliche. It's a plotpoint that is often associated with bad writing that's for sure. Writers often use Isekai as a gimmick rather than a base for interesting ideas and storytelling.
what i've seen from the first chapter, this manga did point out an interesting point, where the MC questioned everything about the situation, and contrast it with the idealistic yet foolish school prez. But sadly, the way it was written made it seems like an afterthought.
There are admittedly more isekai manga than batoto users, but I think we could come together and tag for great justice.
Is this kuroinu? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Maybe they just don't feel like going back and adding the tag to the ones already in there?
I don't know what's going on with your shift key, but Isekai tag is absolutely necessary. We've got 'cooking' and 'psychological' and Isekai is a bigger genre/cliche than either of those, and it tells you exactly what you're in for.
i mean ill give it the ole 5 chap grace. nice work
Should We All Here to Tell Mods Here for Create an Isekai Tags.
Cause There is an "Music" "Mecha" "Medical" and "Cooking" Tags Here,
But Their Tags Content Gradually Outnumbered by Isekai Tags,
In The Near Future I Believe There is More Incoming Manga With Isekai Genre
isekai with dark elf waifu (or demoness)..., follow it
hopefully the story won't get boring
Dark elf = insta follow. Also wondering if he can put skills/attributes on the enemy that screws them over. I have fond memories of doing that in Avalon Code.
another isekai and here i am, also follow for now
Yeah, it's all in the execution. Isekai is, at the basic level, cliche trash. But a good writer can elevate it, so I like https://vatoto.com/comic/_/comics/toaru-ossan-no-vrmmo-katsudouki-r12453 even though the art is just ooookaaaay, because I can really feel the writer trying hard and there are some surprises. And I sorta like WCC, which is why I remembered it.
But I don't feel the writer trying hard on this one at all. I'd rather have the artist spending her time just drawing more Kantai Collection porn. It'd be better, and more honest.
It's all in the execution though. IE: I enjoy reading Word Customize and his OP-ness isn't the main focus of the story: He does a lot of world-building and intrigue with the countries and politics to boot. Meanwhile something like Isekai Smartphone just feels cringeworthy as everything falls into his lap and he instantly has a solution for all problems.
Being able to futz with the underlying mechanics like an RPG is a pretty common Isekai thing now, and guaranteed totally Gary Stu with fun possibilities. Just look at World Customize Creator for instance.
Pretty good and straight to the point first chapter.
I really hope that MC's Skill Structure will only be capable of moving and mix-and-match (and maybe fusion) traits between skills and won't gain ability like adding or creating traits out of nowhere. It would be more interesting and "structural" that way i believe.
It still is a stupid sentence, and fairly long with the subtitle included. And yes, rather than go with a title, they go with basically explaining the story synopsis as a title. Especially for stuff that leans towards fetish/smut territory, I get the appeal: The people that are going to buy it don't care about a title, they want to know at a glance if it will cater to their fetishes or not.
I've been trained that modern light novel titles are stupidly overspecific full sentences. Definitely need to step back from that.
One of the things that comes with experience in translating is realizing you often need to "take a step back" and look at the broader context of what they're saying. Rigidly adhering to the original grammatical ordering (in most cases) isn't "full" translation and results in stiff awkward phrasing and dialogue.
IE: I'd hold up Final Fantasy 14 as one of the best localization examples in media. Of course I disagree with some of their dialogue choices at times compared to what I can hear in the original Japanese, but overall they do an amazing job at fully realizing the dialogue in a renaissance era that speaks English. Japanese as a language just doesn't allow for the kinds of variety in written prose you can do with English.
For an even better flow:

The slime one, the sentient sword one, the spider one, and the cooking alongside mr giant wolf are more up your alley. And they are actually some of the best of their genre.
This does make sense. My mistake was trying to actually make some grammatical sense out of the last bit.
I never said he had to bend over backwards for them. But seeing as he shared a class with them, I doubt he would wish death upon them for petty immature squabbles. He doesn't have to do it for free, and he doesn't have to be available at their beck and whim at all times. And if he wants to go home, helping people with other Cheat skills have even more OP skills should get him home a hell of a lot faster.

Katase Minami is pretty well known for high art quality on A Certain Magical Index/Railgun, Kantai Collection, and original porn (search for Mitsugetsu Honey, though completely NSFW). I kind of feel she's wasted here.
Some rare totally SFW Kantai Collection art:
It's explicitly Slave Harem on the opening spread, though not in the title.
