That translator's note at the end is just...dumb. The Inquisition didn't investigate witchcraft accusations; the secular courts did (aside from the fact something like 80% of witch hunts were in Protestant territories). With very few exceptions the only time the Inquisition got involved was to DEBUNK witchcraft claims. (More basically, accused witches weren't burned, that's a myth. They were mostly hanged.)

I also find it ironic when Japanese works talk about witch hunts, considering the last time Japan executed someone for witchcraft was in the 1870s or 1880s.

Who cares? Either way the old churches deserve to be cleansed anyway, those guys were far worse than any tales of Satan or demons they might create.

he is obviously terrified and if you want him to listen to you, you should be a bit nice to him, at least decent to him. She probably has her own issues and dark past and shit, but if she did she should just stay out of his way till he gets adjusted to learning magic is real. I like the mc tho, I really, really feel bad for him, and I'm sincerely hoping he ends up with a better girl than the bitch.

Its not just that either. She fucking walks in with a mask of that group and openly displays it immediately after he wakes up. This girl goes way beyond bitch. She literally has no fucks to give. I seriously hope he tells her to fuck off.
