I don't think that's quite the way I'd describe the situation. XD At least, not from what I've read of the series. I feel more like she's deliberately raising him in a certain way, as a bit of a substitute for the original hero. I think she does like him, but not to the point of being genuinely in love with him. Not right now, anyway. This being a harem-y light novel series, it's probably inevitable, even if Kyelse is the heroine... XD

 

(Also, note that in chapter 2, she clearly explains that she came down to observe the protagonist and see if he was a reincarnation, or at least capable of inheriting the hero's strength, and that right now she just wants to cheer him on because she liked the effort she saw him putting forth.)

Yup that's about right. None of the girls are 'in love' with him at the moment. It's like longing for someone's shadow.

I really love the author's works, the progression tends to be slow but romantic~

Though the MCs always seem to be melancholic T.T (Tasogare, Hyouketsu, Iris)

He's often considered a "loser" because he's not overwhelmingly powerful like the original hero was, but in terms of basic ability, he's at least normal.

The MC is a wimpy loser who looks like a legendary hero but is actually really weak. The big busty senpai at school who is madly in love with him is actually an Archangel in disguise and one of the hero's companions. Then more of the hero's old companions show up and they either are or will be madly in love with him too.

 

The MC is heavily implied to have some sort of hidden power and be the reincarnation of the old hero too.

 

I'm going to make a guess here, but do all the female villains that he defeats also fall madly in love with him?

I know he will do that at some point but I thought he would do that NOW to fight the demon milf. And a national tresure that's right in the middle of the town and that anyone can go there and pick? I don't think just ppl not letting others get it is the reason why it still wasn't stolen, you know, sword stuck on a rock...
