I just bought the first 3 volumes. Have to see if the other 4 will come to the store. And for those that are still uncertain, its uncensored for the most part unlike the scans. One major problem is that "baka-chiki" is translated as "Chicken-brain" which doesn't give the same effect so I pretend that its baka-chiki. :P

I have to say that this manga was pretty mature and serious considering how many "chibis", cute harem girls , repetitive jokes and fanservice where included. If I compare this to some other titles from similar genre, this one touches many real problems that are quite common either for kids, teenagers or mature people. Characters are well written, logical and smart, their decisions don't contradict with their beliefs. You feel that they are moving exactly as you think they would.

Still I don't really understand why MC is always showed under girl and despite being intelligent and having strong sense of justice and why he is really easy to manipulate, make fun of or even lied to. I don't quite get why he would have to "PAY" for getting the girl he loves and why the heck he feels like this would be his obligation.

Also I don't think that working under girl that you rejected and went on with her best friend would be such cool idea. I understand friendship and all but it still would be quite painful. I seriously think that author have some fetish about strong females on top.

All in all it is really good manga. Probably one of the best I read for quite some time.

Probably quite a bit, but there's no way for us to really know unless someone who has read all the light novels comes by. Only volume 1 has some translations for it done so far, but the translation for it started pretty recently by NanoDesu, so hopefully we can get farther into it soon.

They edited it quite a bit actually but not too much(at least, I try to be optimistic). It still had the core(thank god) but some of the details were left out. For instance, they fitted so many things in just that one morning of the confession while the LN had each event happen separately and in a completely different setting, from the shopping mall to ramen shop. Both scenes plus the night scene with Kanade had some very interesting dialogue which was seriously funny but heart-warming too but sadly omitted or rather rushed here due to the constraints. Technically speaking, the actual part about Usami would have fit one whole chapter due to the amount that was discussed and the amount of Monologue Jirou had. And even if it didn't, the Kanade part would have filled up the rest. But those are just the more immediate changes. There are plenty throughout but its still waaaaaaaay better than the anime version. Yet another instance where they want you to actually buy the LNs really. This is all just business after all. But it worked. I will buy the LNs, assuming I find them licensed in English that is ;)

How did they fit 12 volumes of light novel in 7 volumes? What did they cut out?

I'm glad this is coming to an end. Not because I dislike it, I actually liked it a lot; but I believe the best stories have a beginning, a middle, and an end. The emotional climaxes and tying up of loose ends is what really sells me on a story--none of that Naruto/Bleach drag-it-on-for-years silliness for me.
You my friend, are smart. Join the resistance against "manga that are drawn out for way too long for the sake of getting more money rather than for good story telling." All things must end and the skill of a writer also shows when the reaching the ending feels so complete regardless of whether it was happy or sad, no loose ends and no freaking ambiguous endings. I don't want to go through hundreds and hundreds of episodes or chapters that have way too much irrelevant and nonsensical content.

And I was actually refraining from making a comparison to the big 3 but today's Naruto chapter was just a perfect example. That whole bit with Team Guy was so irrelevant and stupid that it made me cry.

He actually tied up all the loose ends.  All that's left to deal with now...  are the in-laws jokes.

so i like usami and to be honest i rarely like tsunderes i can actually count the tsunderes that i really like so far and that number is like 2 (one is usami the second is the one from hentai prince bla bla bla but did not like the anime of it tho the ending was boring) the rest i hate or just meh and to be honest 99% of my ships always sink and i am pretty much okay with that because i know fully well that they will sink but still maybe an alternative story maybe or doujins if i et despirate

That's just the fate of harem characters. You can tell pretty early on if not instantly who the "main" girl is in them, and they will win 99.98% of the time if the main character has the balls enough to make a decision at all before the series gets axed. I've been fortunate enough in much of my harem travels that I generally approved of the obvious pairing, but I've also had some pretty wishful ships sunk too.  I really did want Usami to win despite it being obvious it would be Subaru from the get go. At the very least it isn't a complete loss for her.

Man,Masamune have a heart of an ocean.

indeed, pretty sure kanade wouldn't mind cheating with Jirou. that fail is just her way of brushing over it. she wouldn't mind giving her first time to her first love after all. (well, you can also say second love, in a way)

Rather half-assed way of doing it, I'd say, considering the final chapter.

Calling it, it'll be a "butler skill duel", either who can make the best food or a race of who can clean faster

I still stand by this, mostly because MC wouldn't stand a chance otherwise

You only think that because your favourite girl wasn't chosen!!!11

So much butthurt. Get over yourself fool.

Always glad to see the main character actually pick a girl instead of fluster about like always.

>My favorite girl didn't win this manga is shit b'awwwwww

Seriously, I can count several times where my favorite girl didn't win in an anime or manga and was thoroughly satisfied with the ending. Jirou has done and is doing what 90% of male protags never end up doing and the series has just done some great shit in its run. The ending is far from shit. I'm a Konoe fan and would be perfectly fine with Usami or Kanade winning, all 3 girls are great.

Yes the ending is shit, but go ahead and assume it's because konoe(AKA who everyone knew he would pick) was chosen, i'm moving on to better manga.

i dont like this :/

too rushed for me

So far the ending is looking like shit, at this point i wish it had been axed ~10 chapters ago.

Speaking of ending, you know,at least it ends well, not getting axed or anything.
Want other endings? That's where doujin comes in :D

So she's gonna fail him if he advanced on her? Well now that he resisted it, she better damn well push him down again once he's under her o_O

I love all 3 heroines but i wish he had ended up with either usami or suzutski, i just find there personalities so much more fun and interesting.
But Konoe is good too, she's likeable and the interractions between her and baka chiki is pretty good :)

Tch, what a baka-chiki, he should've aimed for the harem ending (by accepting what occurs in chapter 37). >.> But he chose Subaru. =.=

Unrealistic? Guys don't always give up the first time they get turned down, feelings can't be turned off so easily. If that were the case, most of our parents wouldn't have gotten together.

Of course, there's a point where "persistent" becomes "stalker," but Jirou never got that far.

I'm almost caught up to date and I'll hate it if he ends up with Subaru.
He confessed and she turned him down! Ugh, I hate when this sort of situation happens, it's so unrealistic.
