"Thank you" for this? What the? After all that, she's just another pervert craving for some skinship! :D

Spoiler

im not talking about now im talking about in a few years or so

Mx0 didnt even last that long, i just hope japanese manga reader community can one day adjust to international manga reader community, since all options depends on them ,

No, you don't. It would be another unfinished adaptation of ongoing material.

like shimoneta or something

Those thousnads of dollars can be gathered with proper management of available resources and other ventures, or are you telling me that every single succesful farmer in history started of as high nobles?

Every successful farmer was either born in a farming family or claimed free land; in the USA the latter was most common, while in Europe farming families mostly started as slaves, and acquired rights on the land they worked through several revolutions, rebellions and simple theft (sometimes legal, like adverse possession). I personally don't know of any person of normal wealth who managed to make more than a decent living with farm work alone.

i would love to see an anime based on this

really interesting first chapter, but he already started making a debt by selling his notepad, why do some BS form of making him the person with the biggest debt.
interesting start, bad form to end the chapter and move it like being a cliche... still it was only the first one

also, why comparing the card (empty) with drugs, guns or even child porn, that's bad comparison.
the card is only a memento for himself, also how did he lose it, they only took the money, not his wallet.

Compare the card with what? If you refer to the credit card he had in his wallet (which has been seized by the Discipline Committee at Page 20), they charged him with the amount of money he had. In his case, an unlimited credit card would mean 100 Million Gakuen (highest possible debt at Page 56). I mean it is an overexaggerated start, but it made me curious enough to keep reading, I think there is a lot more to come.

Nearly everything you said about farming requires thousands of dollars, years of upfront investment and years of education/experience; and thats not even taking into account the cost of land, labor, storage, etc.

Seriously? Shokugeki no Souma? Shokugeki no Souma's school is a parody of the shounen genre.

And what does that, has anything to do with earning money?

By the way, farming is one way of getting filthy rich, if you know what to cultivate or deal in meat or any animal product.

You just need the techniques and the right machinery for the job, so there are many people who would actually go for it.

And I don't believe you know what that expression, "earn money", actually means. We're talking about being succesful here, they're not training your usual salaryman.

Their purpose is similar to Shokugeki no Souma's school. They want the best of each department to graduate from their school.

That's precisely why they decised on that "caste system" of earning money, where the richer you get, more influential you become.

Oh I never know about that, so the background story is similar as to why Nippon (Nihon?) is called Japan in English mmm...
Just trivia, as far as I remember, Japan called Japan in English is because the western traveler got the information about Japan from a Chinese character that read Japon, while in Japan itself the same character read as Nippon, CMIIW google is your best friend mmm...

yen and en are just ways of romanization. nippon and nihon are actual japanese pronunciation of the 2 chinese characters 日本. marco polo heard of japan in a chinese dialect jipen but transcribed it as zipangu

Actually in japan the yen is called en.  The "y" was added on in english because the first English speakers who visited japan misspelled the word by adding a y.  Eventually that spelling found its way into the dictionary and from there it stayed around until today.  Also gakuen is romanji for school so adding the English spelling for yen isn't as appropriate.  Also the pun would be completely lost if the whole romanji word for gakuen was completely translated to English.

It IS pretty fucked up because "earn money" is relative. ANYONE who goes into a low-profit margin business would obviously get fucked over, no matter how critical of a job it is.

Who here wants to be a farmer? No one? Ok, everyone starves then! Oh now we have volunteers? Ok, just keep in mind that you volunteers will be treated as third-class citizens because you earn next to nothing/LOSE money if/when the harvest fails. Still want to volunteer?

Who here wants to be a hedge fund manage-WHOA! WHOA! WHOA! ONE AT A TIME PEOPLE!

That said, the "comedy" in this story is just plain horrible. Its like the author ripped of Hayate the Combat Butler, threw it into a straight high school setting and expected it to funny.

And what does that, has anything to do with earning money?

Shokugeki no Ichiba Kurogane?

This came out months before the first chapter of Shokugeki no Souma

Shokugeki no Ichiba Kurogane?

Hey, translator here. we've got a proofreader for the series and worked on new versions of Chapter 1 and 2, please give tem a read and inform us if those are more pleasant to read

Chapter 3 will be out in a few days so stay tuned

1st off thanks for translating this. now i hope it doesn't get licensed like all the rest magna is nowadays before enough content is released.

I believe it's Gakuyen, it's just more plausible, but it's better to ask someone who actually know the Japanese mmm...

btw thanks for scanlating this series mmm...~!

@huntATnight lel thanks mate for your support. Are you Indonesian as well? Please share the chapters to your friends so more people will know about this series hence more people will be interested to buy the official manga.

You're welcome bro, as a fellow countryman, i'll give my support for your translation..

I already bought the three official ones, and now i am waiting for the next volume which has been delayed to come..

And if you dont mind with some helping hands, i can help you to translate some, but I'm not so proud with my english..

@Abedeus yeah i should've noticed those blatant mistakes. But anyway how about you try to proofread my translation in the future? since it would be likely to reduce my translating time by half if someone help me checking the words.

Can someone who has respectable grammar skills make a new description? I swear it's 100 million not 1 billion guys.

(I'm not sure if it's Gakuen or Gaku-yen though lmao)

No, I mean, there are spelling errors that make it very hard to understand the dialog.

"We can graduate from Gakuenzono even tough we abesnt everyday."

What is going on here? "Tough" instead of "Though" is a pretty blatant error but we know what's supposed to be here. But the next part? "We aren't everyday"? "We're absent everyday"? I honestly can't tell which one, as it's missing some words in either case.

I try to translate it from the raw that i have then,

"we can be graduated from Gakuenzono even though we never attended the class once"

"But most people just pay a little bit of school fees"

"If not, School faculty like library and gymnasium cant be used"

Thats why i said its quite hard to translate because this language is so much different with structural english sentence, and i'm not changing the structure of it, so is it make sense?

And he already said he did it alone and its his first time, thats why he asked people to proofread it..

Well, its because he translated this manga from another language, and i know that language is kind of hard to be translated to english, because it wont make sense at all if you just directly translate it..
