The heroes come to save Satoki, some junk happens, they reveal some more truths and discoveries about Satoki's power to help the story make sense, then they bum rush the ending with some war battle scene and Satoki returns to Japan, right at school where she left off. Without Haruka. :^)

It's interesting to see an actual submissive heroine rather than one that changes personality at the drop of a hat.

What if any Japanese world hopper has the power to materialize. In other words they are both true holy maidens. Haruka was destined to be pulled into another world because she got the MC trait, note how she was already falling in the first chapter before she pulled Satoki.

I very much like the way this plot is developing, it has the underdog hook and it has kept it going. Take any other transported stories and they drop that hook by the end of the first volume, other stories give you a hero so powerful that future struggles feels more like page fillers or that they have to introduce some other overpowered antagonist. Transported-power creep protagonists.

Oh no, it's only two volumes. Man, underdog hook are so hard to maintain.

I REALLY LIKE THIS MANGA AND I'M REALLY EXCITED THAT THERE WAS A NEW CHAPTER BUT SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING??? I'M SO CONFUSED BUT CAN'T EXPRESS IT BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW HOW TO HIDE MY SPOILERS???

Honestly, at the rate this is going, I might actually have preferred one of the parodies... This story is just depressing. Wasn't this supposed to be a comedy-based manga? What happened with all the hilarious scenes of Satoki getting weirdishly happy when Haruka raised flags? Those are the things that drew me in! All of a sudden there's so much drama and intrigue and I can honestly say that I did NOT expect(or necessarily want) this at all.  I am still interested in how this turns out, but because of that last line in this chapter, I will be pissed as hell if

Haruka and co don't save Satoki, but also pissed as hell if they DO save Satoki... does that make sense?  Satoki has had the church, royalty, soldiers, and even servants walk all over her and treat her like shit since she got to this world (except for Jet, but no, he was taken into Haruka's harem). You can't even say that her few allies treat her very well, and only in the limited circumstances that she is useful to them. I mean, would Miva even care two shits about her if she HADN'T had the holy maiden ability? Probably not. She would have been throw out on the street like the palace and church originally intended. Jesus christ, look at her face when she talks about Miva not needing her/seeing her anymore! She's BEREFT and that other girl makes it worse!  She can't even believe that anyone cares about her if there's someone else that can do what she can do. Being used so much just to make Haruka look good just made that even more ingrained into her head.  Even if someone else CAN'T do what she can do, they're still better than her if more people like them.

 

Even Haruka hasn't treated her very well. They have barely even spoken to each other since arriving in a new world together. Haruka had a lot on her mind, but she barely gave any thought to how everyone else was treating Satoki, whereas Satoki was freakishly obsessed with how Haruka got treated.  She didn't even TRY to talk to Satoki or hear her out, just spewed garbage at her when things didn't go her way.

 

Now Satoki has been rejected by one of her very few allies after being blackmailed and threatened into a betrayal.  She knows that her other remaining allies care more about Haruka and will prioritize her over Satoki. No wonder she can't even gain any self-esteem even though she's able to make epicly powerful weapons.  If you think about it, she's never once been complimented for her ability through the entire series, except in the most back-handed way.  She would have been 1000x better off if one of her real friends was transported with her instead of Haruka.

 

As for being pissed if they do/don't save her... I want them to show her that there actually ARE people who care enough about her to save her... but I don't want her to actually be saved by them.  I want them to fail, to have their dramatic scenes and battles only for Satoki to have quietly slipped out the back hours earlier.  I want her to actually find some way out of her situation without their help.  Maybe she will convert doll-maiden to her side or something and they will escape together. 

 

There's a lot on Satoki's shoulders right now, she's surrounded by people who will kill her if she doesn't agree to be used ([sarcasm font ]but hey, at least she's not pretty enough for rape to be a threat, right? [/sarcasm font]). I think it would do wonders for her self-esteem to know both that she DOES have people to rely on, but also know that she's capable on her own.

 

End rant. I feel much better now. It disappoints me a little because I was excited to see a female MC transported to another world (since there are xxx number of transported!maleMC!Harem! manga out there). It seemed like a nice change of pace. I hate seeing Satoki turned into a damsel in distress. But at least we know it's not going to be a cliche Knight-in-shining-armor to save her... except maybe the knight from Haruka's harem that would drop her the second he's done saving her.

Satoki should just tell everyone to fuck off and chill with the demons, tbh 4-arms is the only one who's given her any positive reinforcement that hasn't had any malice in it. I'm just kinda sick of all the garbage she has to go through, even the ones "on her side" are pretty awful to her.

God, this rant is just perfect, I agree with this on so many levels. Everyone needs to wake the f*ck up and realize that Satoki is a freaking person that has *feelings* and needs real people that *honestly* care about her.

The plot seems to rush at times, but other than that, I am greatly enjoying the whole "shoujo manga minus all the shoujo manga sappy romance" setup.

I mean just in the first volume, Haruka seems to have had "events" with like four bishonens... and we've seen almost none of it! Fucking great! Instead we get... background plotting and politics.

Best shoujo ever.
