At least don't make him propose to her out of nowhere like that.

Just introduce himself and then start their relationship from 0 again (with him already love her and her feel very close him).

I'm dissapointed in ending, simply because i believed that rinnosuke would open up more thx to marina, and end up with completely different woman.

I'm pretty sure he eventually got some after the marriage. And time traveler Marina didn't touch the younger version for legal reasons, most likely.

I'm...not a fan of the ending.

And incoming huge rant. Skip this if you don't want spoilers plus me pretty much raging at how the story was concluded.

No, I'm sorry. There's a lot of unanswered questions and the rushed nature of it without any kind of future resolution. I mean honestly, Are we really supposed to believe that she would just accept that from a total stranger in her eyes?
I mean, I get it, fantasy. Check understood, drop reality here and let the unconventional happen but...
Put yourself in her shoes. Some random stranger approaches you one day and proposes literally out of nowhere. You don't know him, you've never met him and he suddenly begins talking like some kind of freaking stalker. It's not even feminine wish fulfillment either. It just kind of happens "You I like. You me get the homba homba horizontal mambo!"
Admit it: If you were in her position you would be pulling out a tazer.
This is a rushed, sloppy, and lazy way to end a series. The author has too little respect for the medium and the series getting axed was well in evidence. You basically had 2 chapters to close the series but you had to sacrifice the plot for exposition about what the plot COULD have been! That's just lazy. It's a sign of closing up shop and saying "Well that's it see you later!" and nothing more.
I'm sorry but the last 2 chapters could have been done a LOT better. That's pretty much where my criticism is coming in at. I could go on about the final 4 chapters as a whole and how they fail to really draw a decent conclusion but it'd be redundant. You could accept them as they are because they only accomplished the plot goal. But the ending of the story felt more like a need for putting out information was more important than giving your characters the kind of closure they needed. That's lazy. That's literally all that is. This manga hooked me in because it was JUST different enough to be note worthy. But the last couple of chapters felt cheap. They could have done better.
You had a great artist working there. You had wonderful scenes that helped accentuate mood. You had the right framing and use of dialogue up until the ending that walked you along with the characters so you were more or less involved. And most importantly: You did not waste your time. There were no filler chapters. Everything that was introduced went somewhere...

Hell, this was an improvement over Yuria no Shiki which I stumbled across way back in 2007 and followed with some glee until its end. If it wasn't for the fact that I knew this authors name before, I would probably have been more upset. Even that story had a good enough ending for what it was. The style and story were different enough from Yuria no Shiki to make me actually doubt this was done by the same guy...

Except the last few chapters. And I'm sorry, but that was an insulting way to bring resolution to like 5 or 6 different characters. A cheer up talk, a punch to the face and then a reuniting and creepy stalker comment? No. No you don't do that.

Really what it comes down to is effort. You may have gotten canned but you know if you really cared about your medium and your readers you would have said "Alright, I'm canned, I gotta wrap this up, but I'm gonna give you one hell of an ending with what I have. I owe that much to you!"
You see it all the time. The movies which somehow manage to leave a lasting impact on you despite the fact that they were doomed to fail from the beginning. The earnestness in using the medium to try and tell a story despite the fact that it's probably going to be panned. You put effort into it because you realize that in the end anyone who watches your story is going to be involved in it emotionally and they deserve at the very least some kind of effort from you as part of the deal. It's the kind of service that people pour their hearts into and most don't even make it. Yet here you are wasting that chance. You who got the one chance many don't all because you were just told to can the series and move on. You have no real care for your audience or your own characters. And that's just sad.

Yeah... This ending just kind of pissed me off...

It was a definite axed ending. but at least we got closure and no he got the girl. No BS Pie ending like certain other wacky Romance. Well not the best read but still enjoyed. Glad I got to read the happy end.

Ok, time to have a talk about time travel paradoxes

Now the important point: if future Rinnosuke isn't sick, future Marina will not need to travel in time to change his destiny, because he will surely will not attend that class and they won't meet. The moment his destiny changes, she will start to disappear while saying something on the lines of "Please, look for me in xx years". It will be up to Rinnosuke to find her, and start the relation from 0 with his "established facts".

CLOSE. Nice foreshadowing skills.

Wait WHAT!? How in the flying fuck was she able to say yes!? Did she remember!? Was it on the spur!? That ending made no sense to me.

Seems like it or atleast that's what her crying made allusion to, same goes for the quotes in page 3 (her anxiously waiting for something but not knowing what exactly it is) & 13. What happened in Chapter 48 was foreshadowing it all pretty much (page 21-23).

But still, even though something like that was expected after the recent chapters, it happened way too quickly, be it his growth, how he came to get Marina and her answer, all that was contained within one single chapter, meh.

To be brutally honest, this sort of plot does lead to axing due to a lack of actual plot progression over the course of multiple chapters. This is what happens when a series is not popular enough to be in a plot limbo, but remains there regardless.

While I did read the whole thing as it came out on Batoto (for 2 obvious reasons), I think it's enough to say that this was decidedly average.

The writing felt very rushed the last 10-ish chapters, which make me believe it may have been rushed but not necessarily axed, as if the writer was bored of the story. I don't blame them, but they should've at least wrapped things up a bit better.
