I thought this was an incredible manga. I come back and read it about every two years and I learn things from it each time. It's one of those stories that skillfully describes the best and the worst of the human condition. The atmosphere of gentle melancholy that pervades the entire story is extremely well done by the mangaka. I think the thing that touched me the most was Ai's drawings. They were really the icing on the cake. A definite ten out of ten.
I actually cried. This was so beautifull!
A really sad yet hopeful story. It was a good read and well done. Kudos to the translators as well.
One thing I also liked was how the "childish" drawings by Ai were so skillfully made.
dammit Nyu, this was truly a great manga and had a good finale .... and I almost cry of sadness (I feel more bad for not crying actually) T.T
the first manga i ever completed, i cried i wont lie.. hopefully i wont on my second time through xD
It's like a side story from Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou or Saikano. So good! Funny how this mangaka mostly have been doing hentai...
I didn't cry... even though I wanted to. Great manga, 10/10
These aren't tears, it is raining.. TT_TT
If the constant fear of death wasn't ever present this wouldn't evoke so much passion, eagerness and compassion from the readers as a whole. That love could sprout and continue to exist even in the presence of death, which is everybit not romantic from the moment that it negates ones hope for a good future, is itself the accomplishiment of life. That death does not ends but instead bring forth something new is what makes this so good. And only someone who can write masterfuly can merge this dicothomy of life and death together into one and make it not sound something cheap, mundane at best. Truly it might be a bit hard to read if you're not prepared or used to the slow and sometimes even annoying pace of time but the end is very much worth it.
its so great but the ending was sad :'(
It's sad since everyone that commented loved it so much.
nothing wrong with tears for this one, such a good read
