Probably DMCA from Viz, they do have the series licensed after all.
I'm guessing there's been no word on how the mangaka's recovery is coming along is there? Don't want them working while injured (again), but would be nice to know if this is going to be one of those series that's going to be dark for a few years before it's able to restart.
So I'm curious...what happened to all chapters prior to 90?
Stops because of poor health
Yeah and when you think that before Ninomiya was working with Miwa, Kako and Azuma as their captain ... I wonder even more about that.
I keep calling the MC branch Tachikoma. I can't help myself. I have to correct myself over and over again. It keeps happening. orz
Going through the archives now.... I would bet money that this page: http://vatoto.com/reader#6e08bfb13e46beb0_13 featured the dual-dialogue bubble in the top-left corner saying "Yoroshiku", rather than "Hajimemashite". The latter means approximately "nice to meet you", which frankly would be _completely_ inappropriate in this context when long-standing members of Border, including an established announcer, are interacting. There's no way it's the first time they're meeting. Further, even if you assume it's directed at the audience, there's no way the vast majority of the audience don't know A-rank members who comment on B-rank matches. So "hajimemashite" would be inappropriate no matter what.
Whereas in contrast, "yoroshiku" means "I'm in your care", approximately. It's used both when you're meeting someone for the first time but also whenever you're taking on a new/unusual role and have someone with more experience working with you in that role. It makes sense for a guest announcer to say to a long-term announcer or, for example, for a student to say when they start doing research for a professor, even if they've known that professor for a very long time.
Basically, what I'm saying is that unless the author really did put in some dialogue that makes _no_ sense, the group Miso Soup had a very bad translator during chapter 136, and I'm glad they're not translating this series anymore.
Mangastream took the manga if you want to know and no one else translate this week chapter.
Yeah im not saying Yuzuru is weak or anything, and Kageura team IS one of the strongest B-Teams (and probably pretty much would rank A if not for Kageura punching Netsuki in the face), im arguing that Ninomiya would rekt Yuzuru in most cases.
World Trigger is not one of those battle shonens with obvious hierarchy and strategy counts, so there are many ways using teamwork on which Ema could defeat Nino, but the average outcome would be him getting rekt. And Ninomiya has enough trion to tank most shots.
Also about units, i cant even imagine how op Ninomiya Unit was when Hatohara was with them, given that she was pretty much Border best sniper. I really wonder what rank did they had in A-Class.
Are we forgetting that as Kageura Squads' Sniper he gave away his position to Nino by saving Chika? And then taking a leg shot which crippled him on top of being in the snow?
I'm sure he'll do better this upcoming round. Clearly he played outside of his normal turf which is sniping the shit out of people.
I mean he was foreshadowed AGES ago as being real good when Chika was practicing. I think it's hard to toss him out of the running being one of Borders better snipers. Go reread Chpt 107-108 where he competed with Touma.
Hell even Kageura is considered one of the best attackers. Such a scary team to be against. I think Zoe is the only one of their unit that's not been praised by other high caliber Agents.
Yuzuru said that because he has a hateboner for Nino since the Hatohara situation(he doesn't know what happened, he thinks Nino fucked her over)
Even then, he already got fodderized by Nino without even trying
Man he wasn't even wearing a proper suit and I still think he pulled off the suit look 10 times better than all of Ninomiya's squad. Life goals.
SCREAMS INTO THE ABYSS
THIS CHAPTER HAS EVERYTHING IT WAS BASICALLY MADE TO SLAY ME
YOU GIVE ME YUZURU'S CRUSH BEING CONFIRMED IN CANON, YUMA HANGING OUT WITH KAGE AND KOU AND EVERYONE, AND A PERSONAL SET-UP THAT CONNECTS TO THE NEXT BATTLE I AM DEAD I AM 100000% DEAD THIS CHAPTER WAS BASICALLY ALL OF MY FAVORITE THINGS ROLLED INTO ONE.
Nothing tops this.
(watch me be wrong again because ASHIHARA SENSEI CANNOT BE STOPPED)
Reminder that Nino chased and wrecked Ema like a fucking Terminator on their last match.
This chapter was designed to please me.
Just to note.
Emma had once said that he couldn't lose to Ninomiya.
Who is considered one of borders best. Hype.
I have absolutely no idea why a manga set in Japan written by a Japanese author would write about matches coming down to bushido spirit. None at all, nope.
In all seriousness... well actually I don't have much seriousness to say. Maybe something something curious about how this match is going to turn out? Yeah sure that sounds about right, curious and all that.
Just once... Just once I wish they would throw the fight; why must every match come down to bushido spirit of treating your opponent with respect T.T
That's mostly because Trion gland only develops when you're a kid/teen, so adults would be pretty fucking useless for field tasks.
Also because shonen manga, well mainly because shonen manga
Osamu should become a Trapper.
Though i think you need quite the Trion Level for that so im not sure.
Hum, this last chapter is probably the more important in a while, since it gives a good solid bunch of backround about BORDER origin. It also explains why most of BORDER agents are quite young: the older ones are mostly either in desk jobs, left BORDER ... or are dead out of Meedeen ( or Miden, or what the hell is the name of the land where Mikado City is ).
That said, given the backround given I suspect two things:
- The surviving old BORDER decided to be quite tight lips about the obvious fiasco the first out of Medeen expedition ( better said, expeditionary force, since it was to help a ally ). Atleast the New Border executives ( that weren't part of Old BORDER. Kido kept his usual stone face and the Takahoma members were just being ... themselves ) seemed to be quite ignorant about how the other worlds "orbits" worked when Replica explained it to them. That obviously doesn't explain why would they be so nonchalant about the whole issue with Osamu in this chapter, though ... But there is something fishy about the whole issue.
- This whole chapter probably explains the invasion to Mikado city 3 years ago: it was quite possibly a retaliation by whoever attacked Old BORDER ally 6 years ago. Atleast it would make sense timewise and in terms of motivations for the attack, because before that, Neighbours raids on Medeen were mostly to forcibly "recruit" people with Trion, without much destructiveness. Even Aftokrator raid ( that was explicitely to kidnap people with lots of Trion ) only became somewhat destructive because they met unexpectedly stiff resistance, so there would have to be a VERY good reason for some Neighbourhood nation to expend the Trion resources needed to cause the destruction we still see around in Mikado city.
That said , this chapter leaves a lot questions in the air ... say like: who is/was Old BORDER ally? And who is/was the foe they faced out there 6 years ago ? How the hell Old BORDER appeard in the first place, and how did they got acess to Trion technology? Who are the other two neighbours Old Border knew about ? ...
P.S. I keep saying Medeen just because it is not clear to me that Mikado city is on Earth and not somewhere else. TBH in my opinion the whole story would make more sense if the story was set in a far future with lots of human colonies in space contacting through some kind of wormholes and that Medeen is just one of them. After all, all of the Neighbours so far are atleast Humanlike ( if not outright Humans ) and it is confirmed that atleast Aftokrator is some kind of asteroid-like colony and not a full fledged planet ....
Four players on a team are allowed in rank matches - it's why Osamu tried to recruit Jin in the first place, and their last match had a four-person team.
Also, I disagree with "Osamu will become an operator" - as I said before, with how effective wires have shown to be when combined with Yuma's Grasshopper, Osamu is far more useful as an in-the-field tactician than as an operator. Sniper-Attacker-Tank-Support is a pretty well-rounded team.
I don't think they're limited to three people, but that's just the most common. Ikoma had four people on his team (ch150, pg7). I guess the drawback is that you give your opponents more opportunities to get points? Idk, seems unfair to me, since you get 2 points per survivor and only one per elimination, plus they can always bail out.
