I can understand how an island would be better than Las Vegas but can't help but wonder what happened to Thailand. Also a bit of elaboration on the name its an allusion to black comedy, stereotypical black humor but the darker side of comedy which is generally not accepted within society.

I do enjoy the action, but after 4 chapters, got left with nothing but an empty feeling. I will give another shot when some more chapters arrive, for now, forgettable read.

Actually, knowing US politics, I bet Japan would be split up into several gerrymandered states with differing political views, in order to prevent them from forming a unified ideological front.

If Japan were to become a US state, do you realize how much power it would wield thanks to its population? By law, it would fill over a quarter of the US House of Representatives, and by doing so possibly upset the whole political system. I'm a bit disappointed that they don't touch upon that topic.

If Japan becomes the 51st state, they'll have to follow american laws and partly way of life, which may destroy manga, anime and so on industry. So, be happy it's not.
