Sorry.
Anyhow as I said I hope it doesn't turn out to be like Deep Love Ayu's Story, I don't think I could go through another one of those; I just hope this doesn't turn out to be something too rose-tinted that romanticizes. It's hard to make a solid judgement on it based on the first chapter. I'm curious as to why, will anyone she knows find out, and why call it a Cinderella story just because she changes at night?
this one is trying to show you what a good time she is having. at least the 1st chapter xD
@cyanrealm Not trying to bring "feminist shit" in to something sacred. Although I'm not sure what's sacred. Trust me I've read so called real feminist go into slut-shaming and what they say is rather contradicting and nerve-wrecking. And too often everything is the fault of a guy and society brainwashing us into thinking that women are bad and inferior and blah blah blah. I can't do that and I won't.
But I will point out a few double standards. Guys can be sluts too but I, personally, don't hear them getting as much grief for it.
@ Attis If I offended anyone by saying there was some slut-shaming then I honestly apologize.
But isn't the word slut derogatory in itself? I'm really not trying to go the feminist route with this. I've used the word before and I've called people it with no shame.
I'd call her a prostitute or a deriheru. Because my definition of the word might vary. Yes there are some women who are sluts, and I believe in calling them as you see it. But then again it all comes down to your definition. To me sluts are the women who doesn't care who she is with out of her personal pleasure, will go with multiple partners who are unaware of her promiscuity, and as you said the type who is more than likely to obtain a STI, won't get it checked or if they do won't do anything protect others from it or tell them about it.
Personally what she does I do not approve of. Why she does it we don't really know especially with only one chapter. I just hope this doesn't turn out like "Deep Love Ayu's Story". I can't take that again.
1st of all, a slut is a slut, This girl fits the bill 100% so what's wrong in calling her a "slut", a noun that accurately describes her? She's certainly not a "bitch" because a bitch doesn't necessarily sleep around. "Prostitute" is another option but would you rather type that or just go for "slut"? Nobody thus far has used any derogatory adjective to go with "slut" so I don't see this "shaming" you're speaking of.... Me personally, I don't mind sluts as long as they don't carry STI. I can enjoy sex, why can't they, nomasayin?
2ndly, it's this thing called "social norm". It's been expected of guys to handle bznz. That's why in those shoujo most of the dudes are either financially secured or will potentially be so by being academically competent. This "norm" makes girls value a dude's v-card less than us men do as long as those guys are gallant and can provide them that Vutton bag they crave for. Those feminists for all that BS they're spreading will happily wag their tail to a loaded dude when they're laid off. Also, this "social norm" makes men to be the dominant type. Wimminz love confident dudes who can come up and talk to them. Where can you get that confidence? It's from practice, i.e talk to lots and lots of wimminz. The way the guys in shoujo approach their girl IS the same way a confident guy who talked to lots of wimminz would do. Wimminz don't seek out guys, unless the guy looks like a model. It's the men's job to do that. Ez enough?
This is not a shoujo so I'm actually excepting some depth and something rather good in this one.
@cydric I actually read Were-slut. Hated that one.
